2): Why are the Roach of DiEnd's World based more on the Blade series Roach as opposed to the Missing Ace Roach?

The only explanation I can give you is the fact they got the Missing Ace Riders actors back so they made Diend origin based off that movie. The roaches thing was probably just using whatever suits for mooks without really thinking of it.

He left after the Agito arc. Shouji Yonemura of Super-Hero Taisen fame took over head writing duties after that, which explains why the show's ending was such a complete clusterfuck.

The ''finale'' was pretty awful(I mean what was that?!) but then I did prefer things like the Shinkenger and the Black/Black RX teamup to most of the regular tribute episodes so there might be a tiny bit of swings and roundabouts with different writers.

Are there any reason why Kabuto and Faiz are rather popular? I mean, those two are the first to receive their Figurerise, and Seiji Takaiwa in particular is fond of playing them. Maybe because those two are where he could be as expressive than any other Riders before?

They were among the earliest releases in the Shodo series, and CSM belt line, which makes me think they are just flatly popular. If Hiro Mizushima wasn't blacklisted by Toei, I bet we'd see as much of him as we see Kento Handa in the crossover movies.

Yeah it does seem that in Japan outside of Den-O, Faiz is the most popular series. And Kabuto probably because it's a modern take on karate bugmen theme.

Very good. 8/10 so far. Beautiful suits, great characters, simple yet interesting concept.

There's a spot where the plot lags pretty badly, but overall it's a fantastic show. The main character is pretty screamy, though, and I can see where that may not work for everybody.

I suppose it has grown on me and isn't particularly bad, even considering how annoying Aruto's voice is and in terms of recent years I was admittedly more a fan of Ex-Aid,Build+Zi-O. That contest arc thing was of course annoying though.

I just watched episodes 28&29 today and I am LOVING it! Some of the best suit design ever, great theme and some nice character work, plus the fight choreography has been top notch. I've enjoyed it so much I'm actually nervous for Saber to start (in case it's, y'know, not as good).

Ranking theme songs I haven't done too often for some reason, I know which I like more though. YU-KI-NEXT LEVEL and PANDORA ft.Beverly-Be the One are among my favourites, because I have always quite liked dance music! I like the old rock ones too though, like the ones for Black and Kuuga and probably some from shows I haven't seen, like of course Let's Go Rider Kick.

I think most openings are quite tolerable to me anyway, Japan is quite a musically talented nation. I mean I hate to say it but the majority of US dub and adaptation openings are just one minute of unimaginative lyrics(don't get me started on Go Go Power Rangers!) and it's just less interesting to me than actually putting in the effort to make a full song, like other countries have sometimes done a full one as well.

If I had to state a favourite, it would be Break the Chain.

Best opening? NEXT LEVEL by YU-KI, the Kamen Rider Kabuto theme. BAR. NONE. Now best ending? That's tricky. For me it's a tie between Supernova by Tetra Fang for Kiva and Cyclone Effect by Labor Day for Double.

I honestly have a really hard time choosing a favorite. I know my favorite opening sequence goes to W, but as for just the songs by themselves? Eh... I find myself humming Blade Brave alot, so I guess that one?

Am I really hearing "Sister Golden Hair" by America in Kuuga 23!? Is it more a cover version than the original?

I really like how the choice of animal or mythical creature for each Ryuki rider says or reflects a lot about them.

Gai gets the rhino -- because he's a berserker set on causing as much chaos as possible.

Raia gets a stingray; a creature that's generally pretty peaceful, but holds fatal and devastating power. Tezuka as a Rider is essentially a pacifist holding a gun, so I think this fits quite well.

Ouja gets a giant cobra, because of course the serial killer gets a giant terrifying poisonous bastard that'll eat you if you so much as look at it funny!

Ryuki getting the dragon is one of the handful that's very interesting to me, because... well, okay, fictional creature so I can't exactly say something definitive here; but in a general sense, dragons are often regarded as something really cool and awesome but at the same time are horrifically destructive creatures with a hairtrigger temper capable of claiming many lives in an instant - a bit like Shinji's view on Kamen Riders versus the reality of the battle royale he's thrown himself into.

Knight getting the bat is something I feel is core to his personality, and something that's also reflected in his inherited Kamen Rider design trait being the mouth. To talk about that for a second, at first from the initial episodes of Ryuki you'd think it's because he's vicious -- he's the most outwardly antagonistic Rider even in a series full of pretty terrible people, he's always getting into fights and he's all about taking up that battle to do what's necessary. The twist though is that the mouth doesn't signify his bite; it signifies his bark. Ren will talk a big game about being able to do what he must, he'll say Shinji's a coward for not being willing to take lives; but he's got the same moral compass in his back pocket preventing him from taking that advantage.
As for how this connects to bats? Well, bats often have this conception attached to them that they're these dark, terrible creatures of the night; especially in how they tend to be associated with vampires and are horror movie staples in general. But in actuality a lot of them are very sweet creatures who aren't much more predisposed towards killing than any other animal.
