I think it's because gold is a very regal, upper-class colour accociated with high esteem and worth, which are often not modest or humble traits, and we accociate being humble with being good, and not being humble with being bad.

That is a pretty accurate summary of Leangle's journey, but I'm not sure how relevant that is to his colors.

Leangle tends to be associated with green, though his armor is kind of gold, so I dunno...

Hes kinda half and halfish, I guess. I mean, Glaive and Meteor Storm were brought up even though neither has all that much gold. Not any more than Leangle at least.

OOO Latorartar is ostensibly yellow but his head and claws are gold, 1/2 gold?

And CyconeJokerExtremeGold is 1/3 gold.

You're missing one. Fourze Eleki States. That was almost entirely gold, with smatterings of black.
