No accounting for taste I guess. :/ Then again, there were no deaths in Gaim that felt like they were trying to be sad. The only "good" characters to die were Kouta and Mia, who we knew were going to survive somehow. It was less "oh no they're dead" and more "what's gonna happen next?" Everyone else who died was a villain, or at least an adversary. I felt elation when Ryouma finally died, for example. Sid's death was long-awaited vindication. The other deaths weren't sad so much as tragic. Usually victims of circumstance or their own bad decisions. The show never played them up as emotionally saddening. Philip's death was sad in W because of the acting and the way it was done. The simple fact that he died was not saddening, and Gaim never did anything like that. It didn't try to. The closest was Kaito, but again, he was a villain. A somewhat understandable villain, but a villain nonetheless. |

People die a lot in Kamen Rider. Even after Decade, where it was supposedly more kiddy or something, still a lot of "death is the main takeaway from a lot of stories."

W with Skull, OOO with the girl in Africa, Fourze with his parents, Gaim with Yuya, and Drive with his dad. And in Ghost, the main rider IS the deceased character. I don't know much about Wizard lol |
