So, without saying any spoilers, how did people feel about Gavv overall? I kind of want to give it a go since the neon, poppy visuals contrasted with darker elements seems like it would be my style.

The general impression I've gotten is that it's by far the least disliked Reiwa Rider series so far, which I think is more worth noting upfront than how many people would call it their most liked. It's a pretty well-rounded show, in a few different ways, that builds its story and characters in a very steady, measured fashion that seems to do a great job keeping people on board with what it's doing.

Personally, as someone who very much enjoyed Gavv, I also feel it has a ton of more specific strengths beyond that to praise, which, yes, would include the way that pop aesthetic plays into the overall themes, which touch on life's sweet and sour moments in equal measure.

My advice when people are asking recommendations is just to go with whatever looks interesting anyway, so if you're saying the basic concept of the show already appeals to you, I mean, a better question is why not give it a shot? And again, in Gavv's specific case, even if it doesn't end up being a new favorite, it seems to be a show that rarely if ever leaves people feeling outright burned.

Just to be clear, I am going to watch it at some point no matter what, I just like hearing how other fans feel once the entire show is finally complete. Sometimes it can be hard to figure out what the general fan response to a show is when I am trying to dodge spoilers on the middle of it airing, you know? What you are saying about it lines up pretty well with my impression of it pretty well. Solidly positive reception, not many people who hate it, good balance of light and dark elements.

I would say that this approach does not always work. That is, Inoue shows tend to get negative reviews right after end, but after a while the attitude improves noticeably. Returning to Gavv, yes, this is a show that the audience liked. Not without significant flaws, but the pros clearly outweigh them.

I'd put it up as my Reiwa Rider Top 3 along with Saber and Geats.

For the remaining Vistamps of Reiwa, I would imagine?.

While it most likely will not happen, my sincerest hope is that next year we get a Five-Year Anniversary for Revice in the form of a Special that takes place 20 years from the end of Revice focusing on Koshira as a Rider.

Then just give him five Vistamps based on the last Five years of Riders using the ones we already have:

Geats - Jaguar
Gotchard - Rafflesia
Gavv - Whale
Zeztz - Crane or Bear
2026 Rider - whatever is left.

And then Koshiro can use Cheetah or SabreTiger or whatever Vistamp is left. Better still to have another Rider use the WeekenDriver and the Bear Vistamp for the Rider that Tamaki was planned to use.

Based on the Vistamps that were shown to exist in unpurified forms (i.e. only used by Deadmans so they have no rider motif) and how the animal's appearance could be adapted to a Rider's aesthetic, I'd go with:

Geats - Cheetah (upward ears and pointy snout, spots on torso as the "bullets" on Geats's chestplate)
Gotchard - Smilodon (mouth open with eyes as the "goggles" and saber teeth as Gotchard's actual arrow-eyes)
Gavv - Koala (rounded ears as the head crests and pouch as the gavv mouth, with the demon riding in the pouch like a baby koala as the Gochizou)
Zeztz - Rafflesia (large petal as the smooth face and flower opening on the chest as the Zeztz Driver)

How would you envision a gambling concept for a Reiwa KR season in vibes of Blade & OOO?

Blade has the poker cards with fate + Battle Royale and OOO has medals for coins involving desires!

Drive used Dream Vegas as well as DGP riders using the Fever Slot Buckle. Oh yeah! And the Dice Saber that Beast uses!

Is there a lore reason why OOO's TaToBa combo is considered a combo? I know later flashbacks would show King OOO using TaToBa as his default combo, too, but the first episode presents TaToBa as Ankh basically going "This is all we got right now."
