It relies too much on deus ex machinas to get to this point,it creates a huge number of plot holes, this ending could be avoided had the writers remember details from the first game, the main villains plot is frigging off the wall dumb and could be easily stop by them, a lot of the main characters don't get closure, the dlc to fix the ending was a patchwork job at best. I think I rambled on enough but those are the problems with Mass effects 3 ending from what I remember. |

Spoilers for anyone who hasn't seen Gaim: I hate that Kouta kills Kaito that basically says that Kouta submitted to Kaito's way of thinking that Power triumphs over all rather than believe that his friends give him power. He killed one of his friends, he didn't find a way to convince him out of it or save him. He let the true villain live without attacking him at all; Sagara, who went off to cause another survival of the fittest test elsewhere to so there is a bunch of people who died that Kouta could have saved. Kouta was one of my favorite characters and the end just ruined his character and hell I'm selling my figuart of him because I don't want anything to do with him because of the ending. It destroyed most of the series for me. Also seeing Micchy be a hero at the end just showed that all the betrayal and crap was stupid to have Micchy go that route he was better off being the hero and had no reason for the sudden super jackass Kiriya/Hojo/Kusaka turn. Yeah honestly I think Gaim has the worst ending. I enjoyed Faiz's ending and thought Blade had one of the best endings of all. So in correlation to Mass Effect 3's ending being so bad and all my problems with Gaim's ending I can definitely see the parallels between them. With both of them severely hurting the series. The sad part is I love everything about every Kamen Rider series I've seen so far. So it kind of hurts that I have strong negative feelings about a part of it. I am hoping the Drive/Gaim Movie and the Gaim Gaidens help fix my problems with it though. Because some of my favorite Riders come from the series. |
I really never saw Sagara as the final villain tbh. Yes, he is is the embodiment of the forest but he seems to be more of an idea of evolution given form.
I don't think Gaim's ending is bad, just radically different from other Kamen Rider endings. And it can't be worse than 555's ending which is no ending at all. And I like that micchy had a redemption story. I mean, if you're gonna hate on that them you might as well hate Riderman. |

Let's move the Mass Effect 3 ending discussion to What Video Game are you Playing thread, guys. It's moved beyond Gaim, and the coloration made no sense to start with.

The hero sacrificing everything for their friends isn't a very unique ending for KR. Gaim just rushed into it. The redemption story's issue was that it came out of left field. Micchy destroyed so many people's lives, and suddenly we're supposed to feel bad for him and root for him? Just because the villain decides to stop being evil doesn't make him a complex or sympathetic character. Concerning Riderman, you have to keep in mind that many people watching KR hasn't seen V3, so they only know Riderman from how Toei presents him today (Being a virtuous hero of justice with a chip on his shoulder...Sometimes). It's hard to hate on a character you don't know. |
I'm not saying we're supposed to feel sorry for Micchy. But we can appreciate that he's going down a path of redemption. He basically got a second chance, and he's using it in the best way possible.
Now if Zack and Oren just jumped him to curbstomp the guy, I'd be cheering for misters Knuckleman and Dangerous. Just because he's on the road to redemption doesn't mean his behavior as a little shit should just be overlooked. |
People didn't like Gaim's ending?
Actually now reading your comments, I can understand why. It's similar to Blade's ending except it is a reward rather then a sacrifice, which changes a lot. And especially Micchy's redemption. Gain is weird in that it's plot revolves around the main character being provided with everything he needs to succeed. And while the satisfaction comes from seeing Kouta learning to use those tools effectively, it does turn the story into a power-up contest at the end. |
Am I the only one who notice a parallel between Kamen Rider W and Kamen Rider Drive?
Shotaro and Shinnosuke are very similar as they want to bring criminal down and become Kamen Rider to honor their predecessor but Shotaro is Hard-Boiled Detective and Shinnosuke is a police officer Mr. Belt is Philip of Drive as both of them are genius and is Kamen Rider's trusted partner Kiriko is a combination of Akiko and Philip because some people think that her relationship with Shinnosuke is kindly like Akiko's relationship with Shinnosuke but She's more hot and less annoying than Akiko, She shared similar with Philip as both of them are children of villains. Chase got Ryu Terui's Calm personality and Kirihiko's Rivalry with Kamen Rider when he was Mashin Chaser Gou got Ryu Terui's Vengeful personality as both of them want to take down bad guy (Ryu Terui want to kill Weather Dopant for killing his family on his birthday, and Gou want to destroy all Roidmude because he think that he have to do responsible for his father's sin) Human are both bad in W and Drive |
Well, Drive is made by the same guy who made W.
|
Chase got Ryu Terui's Calm personality
Gou got Ryu Terui's Vengeful personality as both of them want to take down bad guy (Ryu Terui want to kill Weather Dopant for killing his family on his birthday, and Gou want to destroy all Roidmude because he think that he have to do responsible for his father's sin) So Accel split into Chaser and Mach? |

Why Kamen Rider Summer Movie are longer and more story than Super Sentai's summer movie?
|
Most likely that Kamen Rider is more popular. Most people want to watch the Rider films then the Super Sentai films.

Is it just me, or does every single episode of Ryuki end on some kind of cliffhanger? Is there any plain filler in it at all that doesn't build on the story?

Is Kamen Rider more watchable than Super Sentai?
Everyone complain about Super Sentai have a same and predicable storyline while Kamen Rider take more risk than Super Sentai. Am I right? |
Quote:
Some people prefer Kamen rider over super sentai and vice versa. |
|
Quote:
And it's not that Super Sentai isn't prepared to take risks, it's the fact that the last time they did it things didn't turn out well. It may be 3 years on but Go-Busters is hardly forgotten. |
Quote:
Sentai is more formulaic, but both franchises tend to take plenty of risks. The difference is because Sentai isn't dipping into pseudo-drama beyond minor story arcs, some people (Notably people not watching a particular series, only getting second hand info) tend to see Sentai as repeating itself. |

Idk Sentai doesn't seem to catch my interest like Rider does. Can't put a finger on it, I feel like Rider's character structure might be more appealing to me.
|
Personally, I like both of them about equally. There is always times when I prefer one, but I enjoy both franchises for what they are and both have shows I didn't like and shows I loved to death and that are still very emotional to me.

Do actors get very surprised by script about their character?
Gaku Matsuda says originally his character, Zack aka Knuckle was supposed killed by Kaito but thank his character's popularity, Zack didn't die, Gaku was very surprised by this Mahiro Takasugi states he didn't know about his character, Micchy's Fate. He cannot get Naomi Takebe who is the head producer of Gaim to tell him about Micchy's fate Do you think Yu Inaba who play Gou and Rio Uchida who play Kiriko are very surprised that their characters was the children of Tenjuro Banno the mad scientist who creates Roidmudes? |
the most shocked they probably were would be about "huh, okay" or "huh, neat"
like, a lot of characters didn't die in Gaim thanks to their popularity, mainly Takatora. |
As long as the fate of a character goes as planned, they usually work towards that goal and I don't think Kiriko and Gou being Bannou's children was something that was written in later, but was planned all along.
Hase's actor in Gaim for example, knew what would happen to him because Urobuchi told him. They are usually surprised when changes are made, things they didn't expect beforehand. |
Anyone got a clip of the English-speaking politician guy from Gaim?
|
Quote:
No, but that did rather surprise me to see/hear that. |
Haven't seen one so far.
|
Has the Drive/Gaim movie been released and or subtitled yet?
|
