With Hibiki, the toys not only sold like shit, but the show went over budget and got low ratings (the show even scared kids I hear). Oh, and the reason the female lead in Den-O suddenly became a little girl and the plot revolving around that? Her actress quit due to illness or harassment, can't find a good answer, so they rewrote everything there
Deaths of beloved characters is a happy ending? And Oren being camp gay comic relief makes him stand out due to how different he is from the cast, the clear contrast can be appealing, I know I loved Oren

Japan LOVES Over the Top iirc, After all, Ace Attorney and Jojo are stupidly popular for a reason

Jojo's is also stupidly smart and clever, even as it maintains being a fight comic. My all time fave manga FO-EVA.

Oren was awesome. He was a wild, quasi tranvestite OTT gay man who was also a very dangerous military badass - what an awesome combo! Couple that with Durian Arms which is green and purple goofy, but covered in huge spikes and a mohawk (shorthand bad-ass garb). The fact that he ends up as an ally rather than Inves meat was really cool. I definitely expected the "Kill your Gays" trope to be in effect.

But it's obviously a happy ending. If stupid Toei weren't holding Urobuchi's unparalleled brilliance back the show would've ended with the universe blowing up because zomg grimdark, as was intended. Duh.

...man I'm still pretty grumpy about Gaim, aren't I?

Kids in Japan seem to love slapstick humor is probably we have so much of it in Raider shows in the last decade.

Since Ex-Aid will be the 8th rider, Do you think 10th Rider will be anniversary rider since Decade was 10th rider?

1st rider- Kuuga/W

2nd rider- Agito/OOO

3rd rider- Ryuki/Fourze

4th rider- Faiz/Wizard

5th rider- Blade/Gaim

6th rider- Hibiki/Drive

7th rider- Kabuto/Ghost

8th rider- Den-O/Ex-Aid

9th rider- Kiva/Untitled 9th rider

10th rider- Decade/Untitled 10th and possibly Anniversary rider

I can see us getting a 20th anniversary Heisei Rider. Probably a crossover with Decade. We still haven't seen Diend since 2012 and I wonder what happen to him. I don't view the Super Sentai and Spring Movie crossovers to be canon, so his last canon appearance was Episode Yellow: Treasure de End Pirates.

Personally, I wouldn't expect another show like Decade, but I can definitely see them playing the occasion up a bit. Maybe the Spring movie that year will co-star Decade or something. Maybe we'll get something like Zyuohger just did on TV.

I'd love to see how many of the old guys we can get on-screen at once.

I don't buy the idea that all of the Super Sentai and Kamen Rider can exist in one world together. Even the Driver crossover of Ninninger mention that Kamen Rider and Super Sentai are from separate worlds. Even the ToQger crossover with Gaim was never mention in each of their own shows.

Yes, he was beloved. His popularity was the only thing that gave him Lemon Energy after all. Marika was also a fairly popular Rider iirc, and Zach was planned on getting axed, his actor mentioned popularity saving his ass

Considering Gaim was our second food-based Rider, (Den-O Sword was also a peach), I once thought of a coffee themed Kamen Rider called Lungo. To which I decided to ask, Would you watch a food based Rider? Or does that concept sound TOO out there
