So far the only other thing it did was have a level select screen when M was testing it out. It makes sense though, as Genm would otherwise put it in the Level 3 slot which would do something else

A bit interruption for you guys, but actually does anyone know how is the fluctuation of a Rider series' budget? I mean some forms are really spammed for the first quarter, say Suika Arms from Gaim, but later on we barely see Suika Arms only for a few rare instances, same goes for All Dragon or Gatakiriba. I'm afraid we won't see Ex-Aid LVL 1 or that flashy game gimmicks soon. Also, how is your reaction toward the last minute form for some Riders? Like Ryugen Yomi and Chaser Mach? Shame that Necrom didn't get one....

Well yeah, they use CGI effects early on to sell toys, the procedure you explained is exactly what happens every year. The flashy stuff will disapear, some stuff already has. Remember the flashy effect of Ex-Aid summoning his weapon? Already gone in episode 2, he pulls it out of nowhere now.

This is something you get used to with these shows. It's not that big a deal though IMO, the big CG effects look terrible anyways.

I do like the hit effects of Ex-Aid though, and I think chances are good that those will stick around.

Well, I completely didn't realize the weapon's effect was gone. From my opinion to the future, maybe we won't see the flashy transformation from LVL 1 to 2. Not only to cut the cost, but to give more duration per episode. Even in Ultraman Orb, Orb quickly transformed to Hurricane Slash without so many transforming scenes like before. I just hope that they will keep LVL 1 thingy, I love the Ex-Aid and Lazer's one. I hope they will keep it like Kabuto's Cast Off functions or something, but I think it would be hard to....

The big CG monster for Ex-Aid is tolerable. Despite how clusterfuck the thing is, it was made to reduce the cost of CGs so we might still see those monsters for some time till the mid of series. It might be lame but practical. I don't know why many people hate Chaser Mach. Well, I know from the story parts, Ryugen Yomi is cool due to the plot and the fact that seeing a recolor of Ryugen's forms is refreshing. But, I don't think Chaser Mach is trash. It looks like a kit-bash, but no one even knew it would appear and the white and silver color matched much better, especially in the dark area.

The Level 2 thing is stock footage, meaning if they want to use it, only a few minutes of editing would get the trick

You're right with that one. But with the Ultraman Orb example, they cut the whole transformations because Orb transformed a lot in this episode. I think they keep it up if he transforms less, they only have one transforming hero after all.

Well the LV1 suits will definitely stick around, they are suits after all. And I think they can do it like Kabuto, I mean showing the full thing if they have time or simply have the Riders transform in between scenes. Ex-Aid already has the glowing gate thingy, I wouldn’t be surprised if he transforms by simply running through it in future episodes. Like Blade or Wizard.

Because it looks lame. It is just two suits bashed together, without anything new to it. Some suits can work well when used together, the Mach and Chaser suits definitely don't. It’s also used in an incredibly strong moment for Gou which makes me dislike it even more, the situation deserved something better.
