The issue most are taking isn't outrage over a company selling off assets and they'll probably wind up in the hands of private collectors, it's that this is very much Hasbro torching the bridge. IF we ever get a new live action series, it will mean that these suits and thus characters will not be able to appear again barring the expensive endeavor of recreating them from the ground up.

In short, the problem is that this is Hasbro signaling that they have no interest in preserving or having access to the 30 year history of the show. The generous assumption would be that they're intending to look fully forward now, to move on to entirely new stories and possibly mediums. The more realistic is that Hasbro is saying "f*** it, we ain't getting anything else out of this franchise."

What do these words even do for anyone who feels awful about this situation? That just because it's a thing that happens we should shrug and accept it?

Hell no.

I dislike this attitude that just because something is common or other people have done this in the past, etc, that means it's fine and we shouldn't voice our complaints.

I know people who haven't been happy with how PR's gone or have not watched it in forever, and they're devastated by this. So let's not try to excuse the awful things happening by saying "This is what usually happens", alright?

well this would mean they'd have to recrate 30 series worth of Ranger stuff and not use anything from there so if that happened it would be alternate timeline.

Like when they redid MMPR in 2017.

I would dread to think what that would do with the other morphed designs.
