Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Faiz a firefly as well?
|
Faiz is firefly themed yes but he is also based off a shark with the fins on his head and the fang marks on the mouth part of his helmet.

Also there are more themes of Faiz and Takumi himself but hey that is a tad spoilery, I can imagine you will have seen it so it is not of spoiling you but more for not spoiling everyone else. |

Would you guys be better off if Kamen Rider was adapted in Canada instead of the US?

No accounting for taste I guess. :/ Then again, there were no deaths in Gaim that felt like they were trying to be sad. The only "good" characters to die were Kouta and Mia, who we knew were going to survive somehow. It was less "oh no they're dead" and more "what's gonna happen next?" Everyone else who died was a villain, or at least an adversary. I felt elation when Ryouma finally died, for example. Sid's death was long-awaited vindication. The other deaths weren't sad so much as tragic. Usually victims of circumstance or their own bad decisions. The show never played them up as emotionally saddening. Philip's death was sad in W because of the acting and the way it was done. The simple fact that he died was not saddening, and Gaim never did anything like that. It didn't try to. The closest was Kaito, but again, he was a villain. A somewhat understandable villain, but a villain nonetheless. |

People die a lot in Kamen Rider. Even after Decade, where it was supposedly more kiddy or something, still a lot of "death is the main takeaway from a lot of stories."

W with Skull, OOO with the girl in Africa, Fourze with his parents, Gaim with Yuya, and Drive with his dad. And in Ghost, the main rider IS the deceased character. I don't know much about Wizard lol |

Ok. I don't watch Drive. But I know how the Drive Driver came about. SO can anyone explain the Gold Driver?

I've seen clips and watched a couple of episodes. Did not impress me.

Whether he gave it a fighting chance or not really depends on which episodes and clips were seen. If he only tuned in at the very beginning or during that time in the middle when things got really slow and repetitive, then he really hasn't seen the best Drive has to offer.
|
Psycho, did you watch those episodes of Drive before episode 26 (Kamen Rider Chaser's debut) or after? If it was after then I guess Drive isn't for you because it was after the Chaser episode when everyone's opinion on Drive changed.
|
I watched random episodes. Not to mention the cross-over movie.
|
You should give it another try. Drive is awesome. And pretty intense these days.
|
Banno can go to hell and die. ... That is all.
|
Why did none of the big fansubbers like TV-Nihon or Aesir ever sub the Gaim Fruits Cup movie? It just bothers me that the movie doesn't match the rest of the episodes in my Gaim folder. :eyebrow

Probably not how it works, but by going how Gaim and Drive was handle I think so. |
Can I just say that I was right! Heart is the final roidmude that drive must fight well to be precise he's the last battle for the main plot but it still counts.

Does anybody else feel like Banno was a cheap way to make the Roidmudes feel more sympathetic?

It would’ve been cheap if Banno was a character that jumped out of a box in the last 10 episodes. Well, he kind of did, but he always was a factor in the story, even though he appeared later on. |
