Yeah, the Ryuki-Kiva era is a bit fuzzy since they're all self-contained. Showa, Kuuga/Agito and post-Decade seem to all take place in the same universe, since Fourze mentions both Ichigo AND Kuuga as past Riders who have existed within his own universe, and Fourze is canon to W and OOO. W is canon to Drive, which is also canon with Gaim, which would mean that Showa/Kuuga/Agito/W-Ex-Aid are all in the same universe (or at least the Riders all exist within the same universe). I can't speak on Wizard since I haven't seen it.

EDIT: Actually, come to think of it, the G3 unit DID appear in Ryuki's movie. So maybe at least that alternate timeline's version of the characters exist along with Kuuga and Agito.

My headcanon is that each Heisei era season used to take place in its own continuity, save for Kuuga and Agito taking place in the same timeline. But during events of Decade, the multiverse just kind of "broke." Not only did this fuse the Heisei Era, Showa Era, and the Neo-Heisei era into one continuity, it also connected the Kamen Rider world with the Super Sentai world, which is also a shared continuity in my headcanon.

The connection wasn't strong at first but, over time, the world began to grow more and more connected until, by this time, they're basically two worlds stuck together, barely kept apart by a Dimensional Wall so thin that one could pass through it with basically no effort if there in the right place. Needless to say, Tokyo is one of those places.

I guess based on this the catchphrase for Decade as the next ep preview was on Makes sense. Destroy all, connect all.

I've seen that theory too and it actually works. Sorta like what Marvel did with their 2015 Secret Wars series.

I wonder where Amazons fits into all of this. It's probably "officially" not part of the main continuity, but I feel like it could still fit in, with both heroes being the type to not really bother with ongoing events going on with the main Rider shows, thus explaining their absence from them.

Set photos imply they're in the next Superhero Taisen, so probably still the main continuity.

The real question is how The First and The Next fit in. You'd assume they'd be in an alternate universe, since there shouldn't probably be two Takeshi Hongos running around, except The First version of him cameoed in Kabuto, which is supposedly in the main continuity....it's a whole mess.

The First/The Next don't fit anywhere: they were a standalone project designed to reboot the series for a more adult audience. The First did okay but The Next was a complete bomb and Toei hasn't mentioned it since; the suits were even broken up and recycled into monsters for a Den-O movie. Hongo's actor appearing in Kabuto was just a promotional easter egg, not an indication of anything more.

False. The First and Next incarnations of the first 3 Riders are playable in All Kamen Rider: Rider Revolution

Eh - that's Namco Bandai though not Toei direcly. Maybe they don't see it as much of a failure.
