See personally I like watching openings, it really sets the tone for any show (not just toku...anime, sitcoms, drama, etc) and I feel like a great opening can really help out a show. It's disappointing to me to see an opening that plays out like a giant advertisement.

Also, another question - does anybody have a good image of Ex-Aid from behind? I think I might try to cosplay him but need a good look at his back.

Wait, I just realized I completely misread what you were actually asking because I am an idiot.

My opinion on that is actually that it's pretty lame, and if they're going to do it they may as well just do what Ex-Aid did and not have an opening for the duration of the movie's advertising period.

I felt too much spoiled when upcoming movie scenes used in opening especially if climax battle scenes from movie is also used. I am usually skip upcoming movie promotion in opening.

They pretty much spoil the entire movie in the process.

I actually kind of like them. I think its a pretty fun way to do an advertisement. I don't prefer them over the normal opening of course but I enjoy them.

Doesn't really bother me. It probably would have if they'd been doing it back in the early Heisei era when the openings were more stylish, but most of the recent shows have already been a crazy hodgepodge of random footage anyway, so it doesn't feel like the promo material is really encroaching on something artistic.
