Here is a question. Buttobasoul combos. Yay or Nay.
https://i.imgur.com/cSvzcuw.jpg from top left to right Bikaso: Ebi(shrimp)+Kani(crab)+Sasori(scorpion) Shigazeshi: Shika(deer)+Gazelle+Ushi(cow) Saramiuo: Same(shark) + Kujira(whale) +Ookamiuo(wolffish) * in case you are wondering yes it is the same combo for Kamen Rider Poseidon from bottom left to right Mukachiri: Mukade(centipede) + Hachi(bee) + Ari(ant) Seishirogin: Seiuchi(walrus)+Shirokuma(polar bear)+Penguin |
I get that with Tatoba combo that not all the other ones need to follow a coherent color scheme, but still some of these are still pushing it. In terms of specifics:
Bikaso: Yay, but the original colors were cooler in my opinion. Shigazeshi: Yay, the cowprint pants were a really big negative but the artwork on the coin eventually won me over. Saramiuo: Yay, looks great but I feel like they could've done something more creative with the whale arms. Mukachiri: Nay, the weapons are cool but the colors, while very fitting for the respective animals, look too chaotic when actually mixed together. Seishirogin: Nay, the tusk on walrus look like some sort of anime style hair bangs and the Penguin legs should've been either black or some shade of grey. |

I am probably the only one here who felt a mixture of disapointment and slight revulsion at OOO.
I was disapointed because nothing was ever really explained concretely, the whole thing with an ancient king and the greed needed more detail than was given. I wanted to know what powers the belt, what the purpose of that box was at the start of the show and how the medals and belt were created. I was kind of grossed out by the guy who was obsessed with birthdays. Nothing wrong with him, just the way he said birthday. also.....I want a show where we see the faceless corporation mooks doing their job. What do they actually do? Why are they a thing? Note: it has been ages since I saw OOOs so please correct me if I am wrong, I don't remember everything but the show was pretty similar to den-o in regards to a lack of explanation. |

While I love the concept and OOO forms, and the music, I kinda hate the rest. Structure of the story (2-parter. I'm allergic to that thing...), no explanation about the coffin, useless characters (Hina ?), etc... |

I’m weirdly satisfied to see other people who dislike OOO, the show really rubbed me the wrong way.
|
I watched 2-3 episodes and told myself I'd come back to it later.
The belt skat singing and being like, "Shu-be-do beep bap, skiddle ee do!", rubbed me wrong. I'll get to it eventually. |
Because Ultraman X isn't working on crunchyroll or pirate sites for me I'm going through my final attempt to watch OOO funny enough
