Were J and ZO ever planned to be full shows like Shin was?

I remember reading ZO was plan to be a TV show and nothing didn't go out as plan. I also remember hearing that J was plan to be a sequel to ZO and J was made as a upgrade form for ZO. They are probably Internet fan rumors though.

Do you guys think a original American Kamen Rider show can work? A show that is not based around stock footage from Japanese shows and the main rider has a totally new original design that is not based on the Japanese riders.

I think that something that was visually along the lines of The First/The Next and tonally similar to Daredevil or Arrow could totally work as a series on the SciFi Channel. A guy who was turned into a cyborg and uses his powers and martial arts to battle the evil organization that experimented on him? That would totally make for a solid adult action sci-fi series.

I'm unsure, since both of those shows had a bit too much of a "Batman but not" vibe to them (Don't get me wrong, I love Daredevil to bits and I hear Arrow gets a lot more unique during it's second season). While I'm sure Kamen Rider could do a more adult series, I would want to know it would be all it's own, not just Batman in a bug suit rather than a bat suit...

I didn't mean that similar in terms of plot, just the more serious and dark tones. Plot-wise I'd like to see something more like the old Incredible Hulk series, where the hero wanders the Earth and each adventure takes him somewhere new.

How come in mostly every rider series a good character dies?

Because even though it's kind of become formulaic, it's the reality of the situation. You got people fighting with these armor and powers. Someone is bound to end up dead. Equate it to going to actual war.

Well, there's lots of reasons in fiction to have a character die.

It's not really formulaic. KR isn't as liberal with it's main character deaths as people let on.

We know he is a son of Ganma Emperor and have an older brother but what is his motivation of becoming Necrom

I assume he's Necrom. The actor fits the model (pun intended) that Toei likes to go with for Rider actors and Chase seems to have been well received enough that they may try to go that route again.

Without getting too spoiler-y here: Chase is only revived for a short period of time and Gou is not involved with his revival.

Apparently, the novel is supposed to cover that somehow, at least from what I understood at the final stage show.

Okay I'm going to just say it now this is probably really dumb question but for Kamen Rider Ghost is the tokon boost his mid-season upgrade or the Grateful soul his mid-season upgrade or are we getting 2 mid-season upgrades for a bigger change than usual kind of like in juhonger the red senshi has an upgrade that looks like it's a completely different red senshi ( confusing it is ! ) . Maybe it's like doggabakki from kiva, and the hyper battle DVD exclusive doggabakki Emperor form

Its the same deal we had in Drive with Dead Heat/Formula and in Gaim with Jimba Lemon/Kachidoki. Its an upgrade he gets after his initial Form Changes and before his "mid-season" Form Change. So Grateful is Ghosts version of Formula and Kachidoki.

I don’t really know what a mid season upgrade is, but Boost is the Type Deadheat & Jinba Lemon of Ghost, Grateful is the Type Formula/Kachidoki.
