It baffles me how people berate Toei for being unoriginal and repeating plots yet whenever they want something they say it should be like something else.

I feel like Amazon was the perfect choice for a re-imagining, due to the primal nature of the character.

There is also the epilogue novel and the audio drama the rider actors did.
Not too sure about the audio drama but the novel is set centuries later where the world is a desolate wasteland due to climate change from what I heard. Kazuma and Hajime are still alive while Garren and Leangle are completely new characters.

So how is Kamen Rider Battride War Genesis? I really want to play it due to the inclusion of Gaim, Drive, Ghost, and the Showa Riders...but i'm less than halfway through the first BR game. Is it worth upgrading anyways, or should I just hold off until I finish the first one? (note: I have no interest in 2)

May as well finish the first one. It isn't like it's a game that takes you a long time to complete.

(Plus if its anything like the first two it'll eventually get far cheaper on the aftermarket)

I usually don't keep track of theatrical releases, so forgive my ignorance on the matter....but how long do you think it'll take for a subbed version of Kamen Rider 1 to pop up?

Based on the last spring movie, it'd probably be August at the earliest.

Just treat it just like any other theatrically released movie, and give it anywhere between 4 and 6 months to get a home release.

Well I don't know if it works differently overseas lol. So can I expect a subbed version to show up once it's released?

It's not usually too long between the home release and the sub going up.

This popped up before we even saw the actual Ghost suit. Was this debunked, or a suit for a different Toku show?

Both of them are fake. First picture could be edited and second picture could be edited too

The first one was debunked a long time ago as a possibly shot of Meteor. As for the scond one, no clue.

In Ryuki, Ryuki, Knight & Zolda are the main hero riders. Ouja uses his unite vent on the 2 beasts he contracted along with Venosnaker.

If Ryuki possessed a unite vent like Ouja, what would you picture him using it on Dragreder, Darkwing & Magnugiga?

Pretty similar looking actually. Magnugiga forms a dragon-like body, Dragreder becomes the head and tail of said body and Darkwing attaches on the back to form the wings.

Three questions to ask
Which would you prefer Alain and Makoto or Gou and Chase?
Alain or Chase?
Is Ghost copying how Alain fits with the humans like how Chase did in drive?

When will Takeru finally grant his wish of coming back to life? Or will he just pass away at the end passing his power to his offspring?

Gou and Chase. They have a better dynamic together and are better as individual characters.

Chase. Alain is the best character Ghost has to offer but I like Chase better.

Not really. Alain already has an understanding of human society and while he's different from humans he's not that different than Chase was to the rest of the Drive cast.

Chase lacks human emotions, Alain doesn't.

Either next week or in the finale of the show is my guess.

Yup, Masao Kurenai (Son of Wataru / Kiva), Kotaro Nogami (Grandson of Ryotaro / Den-O) and Eiji Tomari (Son of Shinnosuke / Drive) are the ones I know of, there may be more.

I'll keep it simple: I will take any character from any show (that isn't Kiva) over anything from Ghost at this point.

I wouldn't say Ghost is copying Chase's character arc with Alain, but they aren't doing something that's wildly different from it.

Dark Kiva had 2 kids. Well, 2 different Dark Kivas had kids. We don't know if the most current one ever had a kid but the 2 from 1986 both had kids. And one 86 Dark Kivas was also IXA. And that IXA was also a mother of a Lass who was IXA in 2008 but that IXA mom wasn't the IXA who was Dark Kiva.

Well he has no Heroic Eyecons, the Ganma Eyecons are useless to him since he has access to Ultima and the Ganmizers already do whatever he says so why should Adel waste resources and time just so that he can risk his own wellbeing in battle?

So, according to this post on tumblr, Ghost Mugen's concept is continuing the "Number Theme" of Heisei Riders since Decade. This got me thinking about its merits during work and now I'm curious: does anyone still think/care about this thing or is it mostly just a crackpot theory around these parts?

The number thing is dead. It's been dead since Fourze ended. Anyone who says otherwise is wrong.

Finally, someone who says it died at Fourze and not Wizard.
Christ, that "Five fingers on a hand!" thing people cite Wizard for always irrationally angered me...

It was as much a progression of gimmicks as it was a naming convention. It ended the minute Wizard didn't wear five rings at once.

I can't get a 7 out of Drive even when I squint, and for Ghost to fit that "pattern," it would've had to be something visible in the Ore Damashii design.

Here's my very weak hypothesis: someone in the design team initially intended to include it in Wizard's design/concept, but it was dropped specifically because either (1) putting five of those chunky costume rings on the suit looked terrible, or (2) there'd been an initial fifth base form (flame, water, land, hurricane) that never made it past the design phase. Perhaps someone in the design process said, "Yeah, that was fun, but what the heck are we going to do when we get to seven or nine? Let's not do this just for the sake of doing it."

I wouldn't necessarily find that more likely than that it had been a coincidence to begin with.
