Maybe. But what if there are riders who have eggshell armor and cast off into their rider form. Say for birds, while villains from different egg born species, cast off their egg forms to monsters.

It could also work with a geode theme, with the armored form as the rock shell and the rider form as the crystal inside. Good for a construction, treasure hunter or caveman rider maybe?

Since the Stomach family are inspired by Norse myths, who believes Gavv is Fenrir & Bitter Gavv is Garmr?

It's actually surprising that this hasn't happened before, since it's a popular theme. Most likely, Toei didn't want to bother with decorations.
It also looks like the Paradigm Wonder sickle will be used as a pickaxe for the smaller Zeztz. Which makes for a funny analogy with Vram.

How would you all envision a pirate-themed KR season in vibes of Blade & OOO?

There's a whole lot of pirates, marines, etc. + battleships! Sea creatures too! Unless more than just those...

Something along Geats and Gaim in terms of conflict, I guess? I definitely don't want it to be another "collect senpai powers" show just because it's a pirate theme and Gokaiger made it work.

I'd go for something like early Build, with the pirate rider as an outlaw hero opposed by a corrupt government, but embrace the concept more than Build did

I think we definitely need a legendary pirate rider, maybe matching our main rider. The main character himself would either be a captain looking for his treasure aka following in his footsteps, or a newcomer to the team doing this as a mentor. For the secondary, I would use the concept of a loner who doesn't want to work in a team, but is forced to. And the tertiary was something like a cursed pirate in the style of "The Flying Dutchman".
