Shouldn't the first publications revealing the next Kamen Rider series come out next month? What kind of rumors / prognostication is out there?

We should be getting a name trademark sometime in the next few weeks. First images will be up not long after that, leaked set photos if not official scans. I've only seen one rumor so far, which was very quickly dispelled - I don't even remember what it was.

After Drive and Ghost, I don't have much hope for the next Rider show. I give up on Drive because I really don't like any of the characters and the series didn't make me want to watch more. With Ghost, I didn't like the supporting cast or the main character. I also don't like Specter because I'm so sick of secondary riders with the typical anti-hero badass attitude that we normally get. That's like I like riders like Birth, Beast and Mach because they are not trying to be some badass who is normally a jerk to other characters.

I'm not sure if I'm the only one who feels that way. I would like to see a secondary rider that is different from the main rider, but is not a anti-hero or a bad guy at first.

What is the 1 reason of the problem with Drive and Ghost?

If the next rider series after Ghost was a treasure hunter theme, how do you picture it?

Like a mix of Indiana Jones, Tomb Raider, Uncharted, pirates, etc.

How did Kamen Rider Amazons work as a dark show but Faiz failed as a dark show?

It seem everyone enjoy Amazons more than Ghost because it less goofy and more dark and edgier tone but how come Faiz didn't succeed as a dark show?

What is the reason of why Faiz wasn't a popular show? It got Toshiki Inoue who is best known for writing the darkest Sentai show, Jetman and got lot of people dying from Orphnoch but it failed miserably to get a same success from Kuuga, Agito and even Ryuki

I would say RATED R!

Amazons is being market and made for a different audience. Amazon is made for the fans that are adults that grew up with the older shows. Faiz is a show market to kids and airs on a Sunday morning time slot. You can't really compare the two.

Mr. Spawn, Do you Amazons might took place in Alternate Universe where Kamen Rider and Shocker didn't existed because there's 1000 Amazons out there and there's no sight of any Kamen Rider beside Haruka and Jin!

Number one, Jetman is not the darkest Sentai show, at all. There are shows much darker than it (Liveman, Dairanger, Timeranger, and Abaranger to name a few). Darkness has nothing to do with why Faiz isn't well received.

The reason Faiz is not well received is because the characters are played out as being overly melodramatic as well as the fact that almost all of the internal conflicts could be solved if the characters actually talked to each other as adults and not just threaten or act smart to each other. Along with this the fact that the show doesn't really have an ending doesn't help either. It is the lack of communication which leads to a lot of the issues people have. Even then some people do actually like it (heck I've openly admitted the show has flaws but it remains my second favorite Rider series).

Because Amazons has a story and characters that are written well.

Most likely Rated R. The other rider shows would be PG or maybe PG-13 (Like Kuuga maybe).

Was Kiva's story not well received as Faiz?

Kiva's biggest problems to most people are the time travel stuff, things that only appear once or twice (Fake Fuestles, Shudoran, Buroon Booster etc) and love triangles.

I think I've narrowed my next Rider series down to either Drive or Kiva. Since I'm enjoying Ghost, a series most people say is pretty meh, I figured i'll just go with a series that interests me, as opposed to a series that is universally praised (and accidentally set the bar too high). Right now, the two series that interest me the most are Kiva and Drive.

So...should I watch Kiva or Drive?

Go with another show like W, OOO, Gaim or even Kuuga. If you enjoy Ghost, you should also enjoy Den-O as well.

I'm specifically avoiding those shows because they're so highly praised. I figured I'll save the really good ones for later on.

I've heard that this show is the biggest culprit of overdoing the misunderstanding-style plot devices, which drive me crazy.

All I know is that you're looking for a series that doesn't get much praise.
Faiz is almost universally shat upon, unlike Kiva, where there will always be a defender around when you talk shit on it :p

I'm not looking for BAD series, I just want to hold off on the ones that are considered the absolute best of the best, which generally seems to be Gaim, OOO, W, and Den-O

I guess it's not even that I'm afraid of setting the bar too high, it's more that if I enjoy one of the "meh" series as much as I am, I feel like I could probably enjoy most of the series. So I'm just going to go with shows where the premise appeals to me over any other sort of qualification. Kiva, Drive, and Amazon are the three that appeal to me most right now, but I already know when I want to watch Amazon. So that leaves me with the question of should I watch Kiva or Drive first?

I wanted to love Kiva, but could not. I think a show with a amazing concept and suit designs would be great. Sadly the show didn't live up on what I wanted it to be.
