How come Kamen Rider Aqua never appears again? Dude would've been perfect for Super Hero Taisen movies. It's like Toei have forgotten about him.

I think Toei HAS forgotten about him, aren't using him because 'OOH FROM THE FUTUUUURE' or considers him noncanon. Actually, how many movie exclusive Riders appear in those movies outside Sango?

and yeah, I think Toei did forget about him. He doesn't even have an SH Figuarts! (Although neither does Poseidon or most movie exclusive Riders) hich is disappointing, he has a really cool design and I would love to see him in action again.

Space Ironmen and Inazuman were homages to other Ishinomori shows, and we did get Kikaider and Zubat (no, not the overhated bat), so I believe it was more of a 'Look! This exists!' Speaking of, Inazuman needs a show again

I will admit that since W was the first season I watched I wasn't too up on my Rider tropes so some things worked better for me than someone who watched a lot of seasons. Definitely one of Wizard's strengths is that they killed Koyomi off for real. I thought that part was nicely done.

Kamen Rider Aqua was pretty cool. I would imagine that he would have shown up later on. Maybe Toei will bring him back for his own show in 2051 :P!

Two reasons:

1) That Movie War was the last Kamen Rider OOO story and Aqua is an OOO character.

2) He's a movie Rider. It's really rare to see these guys show up again outside of material directly related to their home series, and even then it's really only when Diend is involved.

I'm honestly really disappointed that we never got anymore OOO. W, Gaim, and now Drive have all gotten spin-off and follow-up movies, but nothing for OOO. It was definitely a show that deserved more.

Eh, I didn't really like OOO. I tried rewatching it but I just couldn't get invested.
Time for a question. Out of all Rider shows you've liked, can you say something that could be improved?
Kuuga: I don't like how episodic it tended to be with the most predictable formula ever
Ryuki: Scissors was literally introduced just to get killed off, and the Movie Riders + Verde could have been cool te see in the show
Blade: I can't fucking stand Chalice's Tornado effect, that's fugly CGI
Kabuto: Tendou's a bit too perfect. He's still enjoyable, but he could use more flaws and ass beatings more often
Den-O: Boring as fuck during the last 10 or so episodes as it's focusing on story, something Den-O isn't good at imo
Decade: This exists
W:CGI for the monsters and a certain death could have been better, and the last episode was moronic
OOO: I found it a bore
Fourze: Kengou's too much of an ass to care about
Wizard: Doesn't really stand out in terms of Rider
Gaim: So much fucking filler. There's the Sentai crossover, Kikaider promotion, the football movie promotion, etc.. Such a waste of potential character development
Drive: Shift Cars are dumb and shouldn't have personalities unless they ALL do
Ghost: Shit characters and wasted potential

I feel like Drive could have been better if there was a bit more of a focus on him keeping his identity as Drive secret. Maybe an episode where he almost gets caught and has to try to come up with a way to fix it. There were plenty of non-plot two-parters in the first half of the series that could have been used to do this. It would have made the episodes where he reveals his identity have a lot more impact

Also, no Kiva flaws? This pleases me. Though more of Buroon Booster, ShuDoran, Bassha Fever and the Fake Fuestles would be welcome. As would Taiga's Fangire form.

Likewise. A big story that never got resolved was Ankh's return. We know he does, eventually, but we never got the how or when (Since I think the time portal was 40 years in the future), which would be ripe for at least one final movie, but nah...
I am glad over what we got, and he wasn't brought back sloppily, but it would've been nice to have that end tied off for good.

I think it's hard to do more OOO stuff with the Greed gone. Without the Greed, there is no more yummy to be made. I did had a idea of Kousei Kougami end up accidentally creating more Greed with new medals. There is seven new Greed, Kamen Rider OOO teams up with W-Ghost to stop them.

Well, considering in Mega Max, a plot point was that Kougami successfully created a new set of medals and his own driver, it's not impossible to create a story line about failed medals and the possible Greeed that spawned from them.

Gaim: Stop wasting episodes on pimping other Toei projects.

Would it be possible for another Kamen Rider and Ultraman crossover to happen. I know they did it 25 years ago, but what about now? I was hoping this year, we will get one for the 45th and 50th anniversary of Ultraman and Kamen Rider.

Some Ultraman can fight at human size from what I can remember. You could have a plot with the Ultraman need to the help from the Kamen Riders to grow back to normal size.

A lot of gimmick Riders could just get a random new trinket to grow that size, anyway.

1971: Stop having plots driven by convenience, and other stupid shit. Don't just have characters vanish for no reason.

Amazon: Geranda was a mistake.

Stronger: More General Shadow, less Mister Titan.

Skyrider: Try to have more of an identity outside of just being a rehash of the original show, maybe make the villains do something, anything interesting. Also hire a better actor for the lead role.

Kuuga: ...more Pegasus, I guess.

Agito: The last few episodes are weird as shit. Just...weird ending.

Also Sakaki Aki is garbaaaaaage.

Ryuki: Get all 13 Riders in there somewhere.

Blade: Leave Tachibana dead or bring him back less randomly. Address the obvious solution to the Joker problem *before* it's too late.

Wizard: Rinko is unnecessary. And Phoenix should have stuck around.

Gaim: Have Jonouchi learn about Hase before the last dang episode.

Drive: Make Kiriko a Rider.

Ghost: The show just needs better writing as a whole. I like most of the concepts and designs of the show but man the execution is not that good.

Amazons: Needed a more exciting climax and conclusion for its first season imo.

..Think that's about it, not counting X or Super-1 since I've only seen 6/5 episodes of those. The latter was just really boring from the little I saw though.

Kuuga: Make Godai more susceptible to his emotions. His choosing to become Ultimate should've been a big event, but because he only got angry once, it only elicited an "...Oh. Okay." from me. I'm not asking for him to lose faith in the world, I just wanted to see him struggling with his morality, or at least struggle with keeping the facade.
Also, either A: Give N-Daguva-Zeba a greater presence than just a couple episodes, or B: Give Go-Gadoru-Ba more things to do. They both spent too much time standing around ominously. However, Gadoru pushed Kuuga to the limits, besting his abilities, where as Daguva was too much of an anticlimax. Either works.
Also also, give more focus on Ichijou. He got a lot of screen time, but he needed more.
Ryuki: Make Femme an actual character in series. Don't give her a throwaway death, either. Hell, add all 13 Riders.
Faiz: Suck less
Blade: Increase the pacing of the early episodes. Make Shima's role more prominent, and make his affect on Leangle and the Spider Undead occur earlier. Also, give better characterization to Mutsuki (And give him his King form. Shima would've wanted it)
Hibiki: Don't fire the staff halfway through the series
Kabuto: Make sense. Also, follow Kagami.
Den-O: Have a real endgame so the tension doesn't feel weak. I know it's a comedy series first and foremost, but if you're gonna have a big bad, make the viewer care.
Kiva: Let Yuri or Megumi be Ixa. It was made for them, don't give them a "You should be a mom" bullshit to keep them from being better badasses than Nago ever could aspire to be. Also, have Wataru's growth be a little more apparent.
Decade: Have an actual story written, start to finish, before you start filming. Also, have an actual ending. Also, just...Fucking...You know, I could try to salvage Decade, but it's not possible. You'd have to fundamentally change everything. There's no "Fixing" Decade. You'd have to just write a new show entirely.
Double: Don't bring Philip back at the end. Gives his death emotional weight.
OOO: Explain a couple things better, like Hina.
Fourze: Let Kengo become Fourze once. Also, give the KRC more to do (Since, after a certain point, only Shun felt helpful, and that's because he piloted the Powerdizer. Even then, he did it like, once every 6 episodes). Also, let the Horoscopes have the weight they were supposed to have.
Wizard: Have Phoenix return. There's more to change, but unlike others, I just don't care enough about Wizard to list them all out
Gaim: Change Marika's goals. Let Bravo, Knuckle, and Gridon do more than sit around during the final quarter.

Back then when I watched the finale I expected Wakana to take over Phillip's mantle and become Shotaro's new partner. That would've open up an exciting new story.

The first episodes of Blade confused the fuck out of me. Why the swarm of bugs at BOARD HQ? Why the spontaneously combusting mementos? Why Peacock Neo having PMCs?

And I agree. But I'd save it until Nago gets Rising. Then you can show both on screen together, Megumi getting her own IXA gear and Nago getting Rising. Plus it keeps the "IXA needs to be a guy because little boy demographic" thing while also giving us a badass lady Rider. And with Yuri, just give her more IXA moments in the 80's and justify her not immediately getting IXA then because of "you're better for Aozora when you aren't testing power armor that has a tendency to explode but once we work out that bug you can IXA all you want."

Also show Yuri's death. And make it a badass "killed saving 10-year-old Megumi from a Fangire attack which leads to Aozora beginning her Training, even showing that Yuri and Megumi are part of a special covert task force with several members meant to be able to fend off Fangire on a moment's notice until IXA can dispactch." I think that'd work nicely.

That reminds me. Wakana gave up her body. a question I saw about this was 'Why didn't we get female Phillip' Probably because that'd mean a new actor

The first episode of Blade has some weird moments that don't really continue in to the rest of the series. Best to just shrug it off and keep moving forward :lol

I guess that would be a fair trade off. I think Yuri getting more Ixa moments in the 80's would be what I want most. I was really disappointed how she only got that knife, but did so well, and yet the Ixa armor was given to someone else so she ended up getting sidelined too often because a knife is still just a knife, even if it's a knife-whip.

Well, Philip passes for a woman so easily I doubt they'd have to get a new actor.

Wall of text and major spoilers for several shows incoming.

Kuuga: Show the first battle between Kuuga and Daguva. The episode just opened with the city burning, Godai lying defeated on the street and they never really explained what happened. I was so confused I thought I skipped an episode by accident.

Another thing: I love the idea from the books that Mika becomes a Rider. I wish they handled that plot in the show.

Agito: The whole thing with the seed of god is crap. It doesn’t work for me, at all. I really would’ve preferred if Agito was a direct sequel to Kuuga instead of a maybe-but-not-really-sequel and that the enemies are the Linto tribe from Kuuga and not "Angels". Give us some more backstory for the lore and have Agito be Kuuga's true successor.

Ryuki: The way the Mirror Monsters are created as well as the final episodes make little to no sense. I mean, I can buy that Yui created them but... it's just not that good. I would've preferred if Yui and Shiro only found a portal to the mirror world and freed the monsters instead of basically creating them, and if Ryuki won the Rider War and used his wish to go back in time and save little Yui and Shiro from their shitty parents so they don’t find their way into Mirror World and unleash the monsters.

Kabuto: I hate how they shafted Hiyori. She's just a price for Kabuto to fight for and she never found her own resolutions. I wish Hiyori would've had more screentime and found her own resolve without Tendo. They even handled the "How human can a worm be?"-question with the female worm general. Which is cool and all, but why? Why not use Hiyori for that instead?

Similarly Dark Kabuto needs more screentime. I always wanted him to basically meet his own supporting cast; people who don’t know Tendo already so that he can be human and learn more about himself. Which would've played way better into his ending.

Den-O: The whole endgame is shit. Kai sucks. They could’ve handled the story a lot better.

W: I already said it, the ending does nothing for me. Philip should’ve stayed dead.

Another thing is that Skull/Sokichi ties into the story very poorly. During the first 10 or so episodes Shotaro is frightened to tell Akiko the truth about her father, then that gets dropped completely and much later when the former friend of Sokichi is released from prison and comes to the agency Akiko herself tells him "He passed away". Wut? When did you learn about that?

I realize it was probably done through a movie but I hadn't watched that one at the time so I was super confused. And this is not a thing you should handle through a movie; it's an essential question for the show, especially if you use time from the show to set it all up. But W is infamous for handling important stuff through movies I guess.

And of course, Akiko herself is annoying as hell. She's miles better than Onari but she's still a major pain in the ass most of the time.

OOO: The final boss should've been Kougami as King OOO. That's all.

Gaim: Yoko sucks. Completely mishandled character. I have some more pet peeves like Ryoma pulling the Yomotsuheguri Lockseed out of his ass and all the useless tie-ins, but as far as story and character goes I would only really changed Yoko. She should’ve realized that she should only follow herself and oppose Lord Baron, not because of what he’s doing is wrong but because she’s done being a toy.

Hiyori's actress got ill, so that explain's the lack of screentime later
Akiko finds out her dad is dead in Begin Nights when Shotaro can't fight the Dummy Dopant who's mimicked Skull. W did the same with NEVER and how Futo Tower got destroyed in AtoZ

I did not know that, it does explain why she vanishes into the end of time dimension for so long and only returns for a few scenes during the endgame.

Yeah but I think that kinda sucks. They should’ve at least handled the question about if Akiko gets told about her dad in the show, they can still have the plot with the Fake Skull aka Dummy Dopant in the movie.

And the A to Z thing is actually something I prefer - a small easter egg for people who watched the movie. It’s not taking anything away from people who couldn’t watch the movie in time.

That's something Neo Heisei has done a lot and I don't like it. Can't be arsed to remember how OOO or Wizard did it, but Super Rocket states was used in Fourze, Gaim would demand you see the football movie and Drive foreshadowed the movie

So as far as I can tell people are just listing all the Rider seasons they've watched instead of just the ones they liked, so I will too.

Kuuga: Godai needed a bit more internal conflict, as he comes across as too perfect (and not in a fun Tendou way). I also think the Grongi are pretty flat villains, even though I love the whole concept of them playing a serial murder game. It was also too episodic for my taste.

Agito: I really disliked most of this show. I think it would need an almost total rewrite and cast replacement. Someone on staff also liked bad camera filters waaaay too much.

Ryuki: This show really should have been called Kamen Rider Knight, just saying. Also the explanation for the Mirror Monsters is brain-meltingly nonsensical. Then the whole show gets retconned out of existence by some Time Vent nonsense. I like this show but a lot of the parts of the endgame were just bad.

555: Fix the gaping plotholes and make Delta actually relevant.

Blade: I personally don't like Kenzaki much because you never get a very good look at why he is the way he is and his motivations. I think the show would be greatly improved if they went into that. I think they should have just killed Leangle too, seeing as he contributed almost nothing to the show besides being terrible but characters are always going out of their way to save him.

Kabuto: I think it is great how the Worms are mimics and pretend to be humans but beyond that pretty much every worm is the show is extremely samey. So maybe change up the Worms and give them more and varied powers would be good.

Den-O: The plot is just bad. I know there is a greater focus on comedy in this season but the comedy really didn't do it for me either. I ultimately wasn't left with much to like in the end. I think a stronger emphasis on an overarching plot would have helped a lot.

W: The CGI is really eye searing on occasion and just looks bad. Besides that I wish they would get rid of those darn doll episodes and I felt like a lot of episodes focused on Ryu ended up being weaker, so those could be rewritten.

OOO: I don't like Eiji at all after the whole PuToTyranno thing, and I found myself longing for Date to suddenly become the lead. But seriously, I wish we had a different protagonist for this show. I also found the action sequences really weak in this one, so that could be fixed.

Fourze: Easily the biggest issue with this show is how much most of the KRC ends up falling into the background as the show goes on. It really feels like wasted potential that you have this massive cast but they hardly do anything after a while. I also think the ending with Kengo coming back could have been explained better, I had to look up what the heck happened.

Wizard: I think they should have played up the drama on this one. Most of the show feels like fluff but then you have episodes that are really interesting like with Gremlin being a serial killer and Haruto losing his powers but none of it REALLY goes anywhere. A bit of drama to add tension would have worked wonders.

Gaim: Almost everyone in this show has very weak character development and it really drags it down for me. Just cut out those other episodes about soccer and Kikaida and go into the cast a little bit for heaven's sake!

Oh, I just...completely glossed over the fact that the word "liked" was there.

So what if Kamen Rider got a English dub on TV in the 1970's in the US similar what happen with Ultraman in the 1960's? Do you think Kamen Rider would be more well known today or things would be the same as is now. In the 1970's, cyborg theme shows like The Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman where pretty popular. So it would be interesting if Kamen Rider 1971 did got a English dub around that time period.

In the 1970's, we did got Specterman from P Productions dubbed in English. So I always wonder why no one wanted to bring Kamen Rider over in the US around that time. I know Hawaii had V3 on TV. I see people believe that the Hawaii TV channel that air V3 had the TV rights to Kamen Rider at the time period or that the TV shows could be view as too violent for kids at the time.

All this talk of what to change about riders seasons got me thinking that endings tend to be one of the weaker points of quite alot of rider seasons.

With that in mind what would guys say are the better endings to individual rider seasons?
