I don't think Toei will use a fusion-oriented Kamen Rider. Orb already used it and it would be a bit wrong move to use it. Though, I don't know if they will use it for the 20th Heisei Kamen Rider. Anyway, if you ask me about the fusions for Riders, maybe it will go like this:
-Kuuga and Agito: Since, they are connected a bit and duh
-Ryuki and Blade: Cards users
-Kabuto and Faiz/Drive: Speed-oriented Riders
-Ghost and Wizard: Mystic-type Riders
-OOO and Gaim?: Don't know? Just came up in my mind
-W and Fourze: Tech-type Riders and since they have some similar elements
-Decade and Faiz?: Maybe a jerka** protagonist
-Hibiki? and Kiva?: Don't know? One of the remaining here
I don't know Den-O will fit whom, but maybe I will take a look at it. Anyway, for the questions, it might be too mainstream, but seeing Ghost fell over the top, how do you think you could fix it or any other mediocre series?

How can Ex-Aid improve from Ghost for LATER Episodes?

1. Less Comedy and More Darker driven storyline

Ghost was NOT very dark because it was a lighthearted show! You got a crazy monk who do over the top performance! Ex-Aid will most likely to be darker than Ghost. I would imagined that Poppi would be kidnapped by Bugsters to throw away the whole forced comedy and focus on serious one

2. Don't make Other Riders the Butt Monkey like Makoto and Alain

Takuro Fukuda make Makoto and Alain look like a buffoon! Their big moment was RUINED by Genm of all people! No wonder why Genm is EVIL Rider. Speaking of Evil Rider...

3. Make one of Rider TRULY EVIL!

They says the tone of Ex-Aid is similar to Gaim and Drive which both of show featured a TRULY EVIL Rider. Ghost didn't have TRULY EVIL Rider unless you count the Movie Rider. Most of Ghost Riders are Good Guys and I feel it doesn't work if you have ALL RIDERS Good Guys in a Multiple Rider Show. It make sense because you want a Rider who is NOT ONLY TRULY EVIL but he will make it WAY PERSONAL for our heroes

4. More Foreshadowing about Ex-Aid's Final Form

The way Ghost got his final form LACKED Foreshadowing! It was a rubbish! Why all Riders have to die in order to gain a new form?! I bet Ex-Aid will die since this is a Video-Game Themed! Get it? Because you will die in a Video Game! Game Over!

5. Less Victim of the week episodes and put more emphasis on serialized storyline

I felt having 2 Part Victim of the Week episodes would distract this one because it's MULTIPLE RIDER SHOW! You don't need to stretch the whole Victim of the week episodes! What is the whole point?

1. While I expect Ex-Aid to be dark, being dark and a smaller focus on comedy doesn't mean it's automatically good, see Den-O and arguably Fourze

2. This is actually a solid point

3. Genm's shaping out to be evil, especially as Zombie Gamer lacks a Level 1 form

4. This point doesn't really matter, not to mention it feels like you only made that point for a joke

5. Again, legitimate point as KR is more known for drama, and Ex-Aid's the 45th anniversary Rider, so it makes sense to stick to the franchise's guns

2-parters aren't necessarily bad, it really depends on how it's done. W, OOO, Fourze and Drive turned out to be pretty damn good regardless of having 2-parters.

I heard some of people who watch Ex-Aid don't like FORCED Comedy and level 1 forms.

Maybe in later episodes will lesser on FORCED comedy and less on level 1 form if they want Ex-Aid to be dark in later episodes and they probably NOT going to use level 1 form a lot because the CGI monster can cost a lot of money

It make sense to lesser on comedy because it would Messed up the dark tone of the show. Sure they can have a funny moment in later episodes but just toned down the clumsiness of Emu

There are people who just call all comedy forced in general regardless due to them being overly pessimistic, the 'don't die on me!' scene comes to mind as something not being forced. And the Level 1 forms have a legitimate reason to exist in canon, so those will be there until the plot decides to stop using 'victim of the week'. Not to mention there are different styles of comedy. I know it probably won't happen, but imagine Ex-Aid's comedy being black or snarky comedy in the middle of the show

Sure Level 1 Form have a reason to be there but the problem is that monsters they fight in Level 1 Form are CGI! You know CGI cost a lot of money for Toei. They need to find a way either of using Level 1 Forms LESS or do with the monsters or even stop Victim of the week in Later episodes in order to save their money

Simple. Treat Level 1 as Masked Form for the Kabuto Riders and simply use them in fights regardless of there being CGI bollocks

Well all the Showa series and a solid third of the Heisei shows have been pretty episodic. I honestly think the only gun Kamen Rider has ever really stuck to is "guy uses belt to transform and fight monsters".

Not even too consistently in that case even, as Amazon was already transforming without a belt back in 1974. The fighting monsters part is like the one thing all Rider shows have in common.

The topic of Ex-Aid's final form was brought up though, so here's a simple question of my own: is there any way it's not going to be Dr. Mighty? I mean, think about it. Mighty Action X is an obvious Mario stand-in, and we already have the Mighty Brothers as a power up. It would only fit too well if the last form was a doctor.

Both his belt and Amazon's are still important design elements though. Belt-san is an actual main character (eat your heart out, Kivat!), and Amazon's does other helpful stuff. And the Oni use theirs for finishers and such.

Where did the "Jingle Belts" start? It seems like a Sentai Changer / Toy synergistic thing. I fucking love the Jingle Belts - totally whacked out and absurd.

OOO was the first one that actually sang. The first talking belt was Faiz's, but Ryuki's Dragvisor could talk before that.

Singing belts after that I can remember off the top of my head at the moment are Wizard's, Beast's, the Sengoku driver and some of the lockseeds to a certain extent (IE KNIGHT OF SPEAR) the Ghost Driver.

Yeah, the ones that have a little song over just talking - which I also love. It's just so bizarre, like - why? Why on Earth would a belt that opens a tesseract in reality (I'm assuming, they rarely say where this stuff is coming from) and equips the wearer with instruments of combat pump out a micro-pop song? It's almost perverse!

I don't know why, but I feel I don't really like some jingles for the current Drivers. I mean, we could take a look at OOO or Sengoku Driver. Both have a really fantastic sound without a very-forced rap in there, except for the Combos' announcement though. However, hearing Ghost and Gamer Driver's sound, I can't help but feel a bit uncomfortable. Since, I don't really like the rap-like announcement too much and fast on the driver. You could barely hear the proper articulation of the driver, especially if you hear the driver's sound at low quality. Instead, I think an form announcement accompanied with bgm is more cool to hear, like Drive Driver or Genesis Driver.

I'd say that, out of all of the jingle belts, the Gamer Driver makes the most sense. I mean, Gaim explained away it's aesthetic weirdness as Ryouma having an odd sense of humor. At least with Ex-Aid, when you started one of those old games that the GD is influenced by, you'd get a jingle and some sort of repetitive announcement. Regarding "rap" (I haven't heard it called that in a while) - well, hip hop is the dominant form of pop music today so, that they'd use it makes sense.

So, the only new Sentai I've seen is Ninninger and their changer does the same thing with the jingle - is this unique to them or do they all do it?

I gotta hand it to toku for just going for it with the toy / weapon synergy. It's so crass, yet so arty.

ToQger had just announcements (think train station tannoys, and it's that)
Kyoryuger had Samba Music, mixed with shouting Dinosaur names and Gaburincho
Go-Busters had the coolest sounding morphers ever- basically just morphing announcement and finishers
Gokai just shouted team names

Adding in music seems to be a new thing, as it is mostly just shouting Names and Gimicks

Yeah, the MMPR homage with the "It's Morphin Time" on a Sentai show that's about as un-MMPR as possible was an inspired choice!

I doubt it. Amazons isn't even a remake to begin with with. It had basically nothing to do with its inspiration. It's just a coincidence of being on Amazon Prime. They wanted a more "mature" show and, with an existing guy whose name was humorously relevant and whose show had some surprisingly graphic violence to begin with, it was sort of an obvious decision. I can't imagine that same lightning striking twice, personally.

They were obviously influenced by the MCU shows when they were coming up with Amazons, so I'd love it if they followed their example and for a second Prime series gave us the first KR with a female in the lead. A proper Kamen Rider Tackle or something. That's just extremely wishful thinking though.

I don't know if it's likely that they'll do anything more based on older Riders though, even if Amazons is successful enough for them to make further adult-oriented series. Amazons has very little to do with Amazon beyond superficial stuff, so I'm certain one of the main reasons they went with it was the brand recognition of an old Rider. The nostalgia and all that definitely accounted for more than a few viewers. Now that they've shown they can do a pretty decent show in this format, though, it opens the possibility of them venturing into fully original content. Which could potentially be more interesting.

I REALLY wish they would do that.

There are some rider shows that didn't do so well.

If I would choose, I'd take....

- Ryuki: Make 100 riders instead.
- Faiz: More Greek letters and a proper ending to end the Orphenoch king.
- Hibiki: Everything.
- Kabuto: Do something to make Kabuto not a jerk all the time!
- Kiva: It's time to make something real horrific and make it like a REAL vampire series.
- Wizard: Give some real sense about the Phantoms. Make it like Devil May Cry.

I don't think Kamen Rider Black or Black RX wouldn't work as Amazons-type show because it was too beloved by fans and it was already darker!

This has been said a few times but the ZX manga adapted to live action would probably be one of the best things ever.

The manga for the original Kamen Rider show from 1971 does have darker tone compare to the TV. I remember the manga being more violent too. I would love to have a OVA based on the manga.
