DX Shinken-Oh Spotted at Toys R Us
2 Attachment(s)
Tokunation.com user Crown Athlete swung by with some great news this morning, the Toys R Us Exclusive DX Shinken-Oh has been sighted! Photographic proof is attached. This DX release retails for $79.99. For those of you who have not seen this before, unlike the Zord Builder Samurai Megazord by Bandai Of America, the DX Shinken-Oh's individual zords can morph into emblem modes as well as their animal modes.
This is a straight up re-release of the original Bandai Japan Shinken Oh from the Samurai Sentai Shinkenger toyline! The only differences between this release and the original BOJ one is a cardboard sleeve around the box denoting it as a Power Rangers 20 product, and a brand new set of english instructions! Happy hunting! |
DX Shinken-Oh Spotted at Toys R Us

I found this on an end-cap this morning:
|
Ugh. If I see that I'm going to want to buy it. I just finished selling off my last DX Sentai mecha, too. I don't have space for them, but I keep wanting them. :(
|
awesome if they continues this these be BOA way of saying this is are masterpiece line to rival hasbro
|
WANT!
|
I should add this was found in Florida.
|
Wow Sweet fine!
|
Am I the only one who takes offense to the fact that the box has that stupid sleeve to brand it as "samurai megazord"? I mean they can't say that shinken-oh is too difficult cause they did it with the SHFiguarts figures here at TRU too.
|
Wow, that is a lot.
How much do you want to be some jackoff buys 8 of them to gloat about it? |
A buddy of mine who works at TRU picked one of these up for me today. He used his employee discount so I actually got it for about $65. Pretty pleased with it at that price. I never liked Shinkenger as a show but the Shinken Oh was a pretty cool design.
|
$80 is a fair price, but too rich for my blood.
I want one, because I love the concept and execution of the Origami, but I just can't afford it... |
Times like this I wish I was still in the USA. I'd totally grab that for this price.
|
I'm glad to see this hitting the shelves. I always thought it was gonna be a ToysRUs.com online exclusive given some of the labels it was carrying at previous shows and then I found it in my TRU this week.
Also my poor E-Peen. Had I known it was news worthy, I should've snapped & submitted a pic on Thursday along with the Legacy Megazord. <_< |

Plus Bandai Japan hasn't re-released it in Japan. |
SRC ShinkenOh was like $50+ before shipping. I always figured the DX would be more like $75-80 for a 5 piece set with multiple forms.
Still think it was a good deal. Now if they release the Import Gosei Great down the line.. I'd pity anyone who pays $80 for that with what it goes for used on the Japanese market. Also I'd like to know why they call it "Nippon Edition" instead of just Japanese edition. What, all the Japanese on the box isn't exotic enough? ;P |
The price is pretty fair when you think about paying potential EMS shipping for one from Japan. They already run you $60-80 before shipping and this is the exact same toy in the same box as well. Honestly BOA is doing us a favor for once. I hate that Zord Builder shit so I hope this trend continues.

Americans decide the market for the world so perhaps if it's successful enough it'll trickle down to the other TRUs around the world too. :) |

Any guesses as to if / when this guy may show up on this side of the Atlantic?

I just wish it was lowered because I really can't afford it... |
Wow, that's a steal of a Price, I wonder if people would trade one for a TRU MP10
|
I picked this up this weekend. A little steep, but I can't get this guy shipped to my house for less then that so I went ahead and picked it up. I love the figure though and now I want to start buying up all the other Shinkenger stuff, but I want to finish off my Boukenger stuff first.

Found this last Tuesday, and was rather excited as I had a $10 off $50+ coupon. Only it wasn't good until Friday.
So my cousin picked it up for me on Friday, but since he has a TRU credit card, I think he was able to use a $15 off coupon. So I got mine for $65. :D I briefly owned the US Samurai Megazord last year, and that thing sucked. Shinkenoh is clearly SO much better the US version. I've only really played with the Ryu origami, but it seems much larger than I remember the US one being, and it's clearly such a higher quality plastic and paint. Plus having three modes is obviously better. I was kinda on the fence about keeping this, until I actually played with it. now I find myself wanting all the add on bits. |
