Gokai Ranger GoKaiOh - Looking for info on this item.
Can anyone tell me how I can find out any more info on this item: http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/p...88&mode=retail
I though this may be a cheap alternative to getting the GoKaiOh. THanks for any and all assistance. |
What you have there is a Joint Gattai Gokaioh. It's a simplified version of the Gokai-oh that focuses more on inter-combinability with other mecha of the same class. As such, the individual components are sacrificed for the combined form.
Here's cstoys' look at it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDPMFaG_-0g |
Thanks ComicGuy89!!! I may hunt for the DX version instead. Thank you soooo much!

I'm sorry, but the name "Gokai Ranger" makes me chuckle. Oooh BBTs. :lol

Here are my thoughts on the different versions of Gokaioh available today:
DX Gokaioh The DX version is an excellent display piece, but since it's a traditional DX Super Sentai robot, it's a brick when it comes to articulation. Aside from being a combiner, its main selling points are the opening compartments and interchangeability with the other Gokai Machines. If you can afford it, then by all means, get it. Super Robot Chogokin Gokaioh Undoubtedly the most screen-accurate replica of Gokaioh, not to mention the most articulated version ever. And it has diecast parts, to boot. Plus, if you get the SRC Dekaranger Robo, you'll have parts to convert Gokaioh into Deka Gokaioh. If you don't mind not having the combiner feature, you must pick this up. Joint Gattai Gokaioh The only major selling point of this toy is its modular design based on the Mugenbine toy line; this allows for different combinations with the toy itself or other Joint Gattai robots. By itself, it's a good display piece, but it's best if you picked up the other robots to make your own combination. Minipla Gokaioh If you want a Gokaioh toy that combines, has poseability and is dirt cheap, this is the perfect choice. Collecting all of the Minipla Gokai Machines will cost you less than one DX toy. They are very easy to assemble, even if you don't have any experience assembling Gundam kits. And if you're fairly good at painting, you can make them look as detailed as their TV counterparts. Conclusion The best choices would be both the SRC and Minipla versions due to their detail, articulation and value. |
I'm holding out for the inevitable Power Rangers release. It'll be smaller and more stripped down than the DX version, but it'll be a lot more affordable and will be at least 75% functional.

The Joint Gattais can usually be found on sale for at least of what BBTS is charging.
