Saw the 4" Shogun Ranger again at Walmart. Passed. Came back for breakfast food. Caved.

Worth it. Dig the deco and combining weapons. Keep thinking there's a bicep swivel. Good quality, wish there was more articulation. Ultimately, not too shabby.

I'll defend Lightzord as so ridiculous it's AWESOME! Leave it to BoA to take a lantern and make it into a stag beetle and call it a spider. That is talent right there.

Plus, it can become part of the final combination as a lantern shield, unlike the Japanese version that's completely left out of the robotic orgy.

PS 4" Shogun is the last figure I plan to get from Samurai. Why the devil did he have to be packed one per case?

Actually, I love the Lightzord. Sure he's funky looking. Sure, he doesn't shoot discs. But he is damn fun. Even the spider mode has some charm to it :D

The 4" Mega Mode figures are great. I don't like the proportions of the standard rangers, but if the quality is the same I don't see much else to complain about them. Definitely want a Shogun Ranger when the line hits the UK.

As far as kids toys go, they're way better than the vinyl/gimmick toys Super Sentai churn out every year (mecha notwithstanding).
