Lots of Toku references in Persona 4
 

So I'm playing Persona 4: The Golden on my Vita, and the vita version lets you buy a set Neo Featherman set, which is Persona's Sentai-Esque show.

The costume themselves looks like an amalgamation of Live Man and Jetman, The costumes even changes their victory pose so that it's more Sentai-esuqe. I found a video of the costume set in motion…spoilers for those that haven't played or made it that far in the game yet:

So yeah, it looks like there might be a Toku fan working at Atlus.

I know I don't have the time or dedication to play that game, but it's practically begging me to go back to it at this point. Someone, get me a Vita pronto.

Did I also mention that it's got Johnny Young Bosch in it?:p

I'd be more surprised if he wasn't in it.

Honestly, Persona is just not a game for me. I hate dating sims (for lack of a better word), I dislike the high school setting in most anything, and I hate randomly generated dungeon crawlers.

That said, Sentai homages are always welcome and not that uncommon. I remember the Axem Rangers from Mario RPG being a lot of Sentai trope fun. Plus, Power Rangers means that most of the US will still get the joke. I think that's why I haven't seen as much Kamen Rider homages make it to the US.

I have Persona 4 Golden, I just don't have a Vita yet.

Of course, I still need to play Personas 1-3 on my PSP, and Digital Devil Saga (my bc PS3 died when I was in the middle of the first one), both Devil Summoners, both Devil Survivors (in fact, I still need to buy DS2), and I have to replay Nocturne since I lost my 85 hour game when my bc PS3 died (and I was mad as I had the best ending of the game for beating Lucifer). At least I made it through all of Nocture though, which is one of my favorite RPGs. I just don't have time anymore to really play through an RPG, and since my PS3 is not bc anymore, I don't really play PS2 games that often. In fact, the only PS2 game I have really played since was when I went through GTAVC and VCS last April.
