Message from Space: Ginga Taisen
 

Now here's a long-lost tokusatsu series. Message from Space: Ginga Taisen (宇宙からのメッセージ・銀河大戦) is a 1978 TV series that ran for 27 episodes before low ratings forced it off the air. Written by the late, great Shotaro Ishinomori, it's a spin-off of the Kinji Fukusaku film Message from Space (a.k.a. Japanese Star Wars).

Why do I know this? Decades ago, when I was around 3-4 years old, I saw the Philippine English dub of this show under the title Space Wars.

The series is currently being fansubbed by Grown-ups in Spandex.

Funnily enough, GUIS have literally just started fansubbing this.
