Looking at the facts - could Jason David Frank be purposely misleading fans?
Bear with me.
I love Jason David Frank. I think he's one of the greatest "celebrities" out there with how in touch he is with his fans and how much he shares with them at great lengths. He's very open, very public, and shoot ... calls fans on his Facebook daily it seems. But I'm starting to think that the greatest and most popular Power Ranger of all time is fibbing about "having nothing developing regarding Power Rangers Megaforce". Allow me to explain. Late last year, Jason David Frank stated at a convention that he was going to be on the phone with Saban Brands the next day as they wanted to talk to him about something. He was asked about 20th Anniversary stuff and stated he had no idea about what was going on and no one had asked him anything but that he'd return for $1 because that's how much he loves the fans. I haven't seen or read anything about what that supposed phone call was about except one passage where he claims Saban Brands said that he'd be the first one they'd ask back if they were planning to bring people back. Since then, JDF continues to state that he hasn't been contacted by Saban Brands. However we have so many rumors (and now confirmations) of past Power Rangers being contacted and returning. One was apparently contacted so long ago if they'd do it that by the time she was asked to committ to a schedule, she couldn't for family obligations. JDF is probably the most accessable Power Rangers actor in existance. Is it possible that Jason David Frank is indeed returning for Super Megaforce, but in a story-spoiler-role that requires him to follow a strict NDA, more so than the other past actors who have tweeted pictures and statements? Or is it possible that Saban Brands is so unhappy with JDF's current image (MMA, being nearly 100% covered in tattoos) that they'd rather not put him on the show in any way shape or form? Discuss! |
I'm gonna agree that, while he is involved with Super Megaforce, he just has a nondisclosure agreement to uphold.

i can tell he's hiding something from us, but probably for a good reason.

I don't think Saban would be stupid enough to not let JDF return to Power Rangers, image or no image. The guy has had a huge impact on the franchise, and is the reason a lot of Power Rangers fans are Power Rangers fans.

I certainly hope so. It wouldn't be an anniversary season without The Man returning.

If there's anything JDF loves, its attention. And by keeping fans completely in the dark about whether he is or isn't coming back, he's getting exactly what he wants.

I say he has to be holding up a NDA, and Saban isnt like Disney and make him wear longsleeves jsut bc he has arm tats :lol
Seriously, i dont see how (if they do) theyll use the intro for siver and not have him since the dragonranger suit is used in it :lol |
