Ultimate Ranger Team Tournament - Blue Division Round 9
 

Let’s play a game: The Gokaiger adaptation isn’t season two of Megaforce, it’s a brand new series with a brand old cast. The six Rangers are all returning characters from previous Ranger teams, gathered together to face off against the most powerful evil ever. But which six Rangers? That’s where this tournament comes in.

We’re going to cast this team with the very best Red Ranger, very best Pink Ranger, very best Blue Ranger, very best Yellow Ranger, very best Grack/Bleen Ranger, and very best Sixth Ranger.

The current team consists of:

Red Ranger: Carter Grayson
Yellow Ranger: Lily Chilman

The rules are simple: the Rangers of each color fight it out to see which one stands at the top of their personal section of the rainbow. The winners will be determined by popular vote, feel encouraged to explain your choices to help sway the undecided. Fights are all-out brawls – any power-up or weapon is permitted, short of the Zords.

Battles are decided by random selection and each character is represented for each of their colors (Rocky and TJ are in both Red and Blue, Tommy is in Red and Sixth, etc.). Rangers with multiple powers in the same color will be using the ones which are most unique to them (Adam is Zeo Green, Cassie is Space Pink, etc. – yes, this kinda shafts the Turbo Rangers, I know – all three Turbo fans are free to register their complaints). All major teams are represented, MMPR through Megaforce. Evil Rangers like the Psychos and A-Squad - as well as one-shot Rangers like Cat or SPD Red Bridge - are excluded.

And here we are again, the last preliminary round and, once again, we have an odd number of Rangers, necessitating a three-way fight. Or, more precisely, a two-way fight with a token Alien Ranger wasting some space.

I like Ethan the most out of all of the Dino Thunder rangers. He's not an airheaded moron like his cohorts and he's not some "Famed artist" who draws mediocre pictures like Trent. While his video game knowledge reeks of "The writers played Super Mario Bros and saw a video of Sonic once!" He was still a fun character, written competently, and was fairly strong.

That, and I don't like Blake. Then again, I don't like any of the Ninja Storm rangers outside of Cam.

Cestro...Yep. He existed alright.

Ethan gets my vote.

Ethan's TriceraShield is awesome, Cestro's name is a tad squicky if you think about it too long, and Blake has awesome Electric Beetle Powers.

Why is Ethan listed as "Ethan Blake" on the poll?
That almost threw me off when voting.

Gee, I wonder who will win. The character from the series most people hate by default, the character from the series most people hate by default, or the character from the series most people love by default.

God damn it. I need to proofread these more closely.

I'm going for Ethan, he was alright, Dino-Thunder was cool, I don't remember Blake, and seriously? The alien rangers? Nope.

I went with Blake. I'll admit, it is mainly for nostalgia reasons. *Looks towards Navy Thunder Ranger action figure.*
