Ultimate Ranger Team Tournament - Pink Division Round 6
 

Let’s play a game: The Gokaiger adaptation isn’t season two of Megaforce, it’s a brand new series with a brand old cast. The six Rangers are all returning characters from previous Ranger teams, gathered together to face off against the most powerful evil ever. But which six Rangers? That’s where this tournament comes in.

We’re going to cast this team with the very best Red Ranger, very best Pink Ranger, very best Blue Ranger, very best Yellow Ranger, very best Grack/Bleen Ranger, and very best Sixth Ranger.

The current team consists of:

Red Ranger: Carter Grayson
Yellow Ranger: Lily Chilman
Blue Ranger: TJ Johnson

The rules are simple: the Rangers of each color fight it out to see which one stands at the top of their personal section of the rainbow. The winners will be determined by popular vote, feel encouraged to explain your choices to help sway the undecided. Fights are all-out brawls – any power-up or weapon is permitted, short of the Zords.

Battles are decided by random selection and each character is represented for each of their colors (Rocky and TJ are in both Red and Blue, Tommy is in Red and Sixth, etc.). Rangers with multiple powers in the same color will be using the ones which are most unique to them (Adam is Zeo Green, Cassie is Space Pink, etc. – yes, this kinda shafts the Turbo Rangers, I know – all three Turbo fans are free to register their complaints). All major teams are represented, MMPR through Megaforce. Evil Rangers like the Psychos and A-Squad - as well as one-shot Rangers like Cat or SPD Red Bridge - are excluded.

Okay, we're already getting close to the end of the qualifying rounds. We only have four Pink Rangers left. Let's keep going as we match up a samurai and a kinda-sorta-not-really ninja.

Will Kat ruin Mia's day like her presence has ruined so many other things? Will Mia prove that there's a reason why she's the only non-Red Samurai Ranger to earn a last name? Which Ranger will reign supreme?

Mia has samurai training, symbol power (which can do basically) anything and isn't a replacement character. Mia has the edge here.

Kat...Got rescued by TJ and had to share her zord with Tommy because she couldn't power one on her own or something.

You could explain away the last one by factoring in Kakuranger's lack of a Pink Ranger, but screw that. Kat just sucks and was too lame to get her own Zord.

Kat has ninja powers, and Ninja beats Samurai. Historically, not memetically.

She didn't really have ninja training, though, she just inherited Kim's ninja powers. And wasted them. Because she sucks.

Kat, the Zeo Powers should be one of the strongest in Power Rangers history and by now Kat wasn't a replacement. If we hold that against her then there are a lot of replacements to not like.
