And here I thought I couldn't possibly get more excited for this movie.
|
Ditto.
It seems so close yet so far. |
I can't get over that Elbow Rocket clip. The fighting feels so fluid. It's nowhere near as heavy-feeling as the fights in Bay's Transformers movies, but it doesn't feel weightless like a lot of mech anime tends to. I really hope this movie dominates the box office and helps this genre thrive like superhero movies have been.
|
Yeah, I like how they made the robots move fluidly yet mechanically without copying how the Transformers do it since these robots aren't alive like them. The subtle movements of the TFs were more in line with just natural movement wheras here it feels like a massive machine that's constantly adjusting and working internally to move with machine percision.

So yeah this basically been my most anticipated movie all year next to Man of Steel. Cannot wait to see this movie, really hoping to see it at midnight.
|
Plans are all set for next Saturday, part of a day long daiakiju celebration with a bunch of friends. I can hardly stand waiting.

Figure I'd just link this article here.Fascinating read on how and why they designed the kaiju the way they did.
