I... don't know where to put this since it's a subtitle project, but I'm not really a huge sub group. In fact, letting you in on a non-secret: I use TV-Nihon's translation as a base and use looser wording. But yes, in the interest of sharing, here's my take on the trailer, as simple as it is.

I really wanted to make a bunch of things easier to understand for people who don't know Japanese. For example, right away, changing "Sengoku", a period in Japanese history, into a part of a phrase. The opening normally would refer to the Kamen Riders as "Sengoku warrior(s)" but I made use of the context of that period to turn it into "soldiers of war". Something that immediately clicks with people.

As well, Zengetsu's transformation jingle was originally "Authorized by providence!" Which is a little too Japanese-y for my liking, so I went through a few suggestions and wordings, and finally realized the simplest approach; "By heaven's decree!" - It's formal, and holds the same meaning without being hard to process for people who've never heard such a phrase.

But I digress. Enjoy?

That was cool. I like the approach. Though I still prefer TVN for....reasons. People have their criticisms, but w/e.

Thanks for your kind feedback :D And yeah - I think it's perfectly fine to like TVN's work, they just do some minor things that aren't to my preference. That said, the only time I've not watched a Rider/Sentai show subbed by them is when it's one they haven't finished (Like Kuuga and Agito) so I must be alright with their work to some extent :lol

I liked this version much more than TVN's. Easy to understand, easy to read.
