AmiAmi Shipping?
 

I was about to make a purchase on AmiAmi for the first time but when I went to confirm the order it didn't tell me a shipping price and that was concerning. I live in California and I wanted to get an EVA-09 Revoltech figure anyone know how much that'd run in shipping?

Depends on what speed. SAL starts at 800 most places, and Registered SAL starts at 1200.
EMS is of course more expensive.

EMS is usually $15 for an average sized package.

Unless it's a pre-order or something used/heavily discounted, it's usually better to order locally. But even then, never order just one thing at a time when buying from Japan unless you REALLY must have the item. Shipping will inflate the one item like crazy and cancel out any discounts.

It's always best to buy several things. Yes you pay more money overall, but the shipping can be distributed amongst the items making it cheaper per item.

This. No matter the site, postage always stings on a single item, as the postage usually comes to almost as much as the original figure was (and that is on the cheapest shipping option once handling and everything else has been taken into account!). And there is nothing quite like that feeling as you see a once great deal vanish under the weight of the shipping cost.

That just outright isn't true, at least for the case of Figuarts/Figma/Revoltech etc. I've bought from Amiami for about 4 years and never has the cheapest shipping been anywhere close to the full price of the figure.

I thought it was clear I was speaking about sites in general, not just AmiAmi. As although he was asking for that, I thought it'd be easier to explain how it works in general, at least for me.

I miss cheap shipping before I moved out of the states. Getting stuff shipped to Canada from Japan is often cheaper than from the US.
