Super Sentai Motif Battle Round 4: Dinosaur Duel
 

Time for Super Sentai teams of similar motifs to duke it out. Which of these titles is the superior one?

Which of these two will be on top of the food chain?

I have not watched either of these. I want to though. I only know of a lot of Zyuranger's plot because of comparisons to MMPR. Hmm. This one is tough.

tough one for alot of us because neither exist fully subbed. but from what ive seen of them id have to say im enjoying Zyuranger quite a bit

I will admit though nostalgi plays into that a little

Design wise, Zyu looks soo much better than Aba.
But Abare Killer is badass...

Eh. Piece for piece, I'd give it to Zyuranger.

Again, never seen either sentai, only the localizations. But going on designs of the uniforms, meka, baddies, etc., I have to give it to Zyuranger. Dragon Caesar alone helps tip the balance, but the Bandora monsters were much more memorable than their counterparts on Abaranger. And Bandora herself is classic.

As it turns out, nostalgia played a key factor on this poll, resulting in Zyuranger winning the battle.

I think many people vote for Zyuranger due to its MMPR connection, but my vote goes to Abaranger.

I love Zyuranger, but Abaranger felt like it perfected what Zyuranger brought to the table regarding the dinosaur motif.

* Before playing Bandora in Kyouryuu Sentai Zyuranger, the late Machiko Soga has been in two Super Sentai shows as the main villain: Queen Hedrian in Denshi Sentai Denjiman and Taiyo Sentai Sun Vulcan.
* Episode 10 of Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger, in nearly its entirety, was played as part of the Power Rangers Dino Thunder episode "Lost and Found in Translation."
