So has anyone here imported Battride War?
Play-Asia has it on sale, my dad was looking for something to ship to me for Christmas and this seemed like the best opportunity for me to get the game so I shot him a link.
From what I've seen of gameplay vids and impressions online the game is apparently really easy, but that doesn't really bother me in this case, I have plenty of other games I can play for a challenge but none featuring a single Kamen Rider (damned shame that). My only real sticking point is if it's import friendly or not. Sucks not knowing what's being said and missing out on bits of the story and things like that, but I'll live. I'm mostly concerned with navigating my way through the menus and other little things like that. |
Play Asia has it on sale? Now I'm wondering if I should just buy it now, since I'm planning to buy a PS3 for Persona 5...

I have it, haven't played it much but it's awesome.

It pretty easy to make your way through things and at least have a general idea of what you are doing? Especially as far as the challenge missions go. |
I have it since June and I really enjoy it. It's the first Kamen Rider game that I've played outside of MUGEN. The story mode is not hard to follow if you are familiar with the shows. The frame rate has been known to drop sometimes and it got old fast playing through the same stage over again. The AI needs some work. I remember losing to Apollo Geist more then once since Diend was stupid as shit and got himself killed so many times.
I would give it a 7.5/10. |
It's practically like Dynasty Warriors but with Kamen Rider thrown into the mix. The missions general play the same as you fight "X" Kamen Rider then you play a event in "X" Kamen Rider's show. I found it okay as it got really repetitive because it was generally the same as with most hack and slash. But using the forms like Latoratah or King Form was really enjoyable.
I'll rate the game a 6.5 or 7/10 depending on your preference. |
So Play-Asia was sold out when I went to order it, but I managed to place an order on Amazon back on the 23rd for it. Ended up paying like $8 in total since I got a $50 credit towards it for being approved for an Amazon Rewards Visa card. The seller was Akihabara Games, which looking at their page on Amazon seems reliable. The only thing that kinda sucks is the estimated delivery date. It shipped shortly after I placed my order, like a day, but the estimated delivery date isn't until between the 21st of January and the 10th of February, and there is no tracking information available :[

I was actually looking at buying this in a couple of days since they have an option to get it with prime for $62 USD. My only hesitation is that I know that this game is old now and I would honestly rather pay for travelers senki if there were a way to pass the region lock :/ Either way, I hope you enjoy it. Maybe I'll cave soon and buy it too.
