Matt Austin's SPD The Last Patrol in Jeopardy Due to Lack of Interest?
 

Remember last year when Matt Austin (Bridge, the Green Ranger of Power Rangers SPD) started up a campaign in response to being left out of the Power Rangers Super Megaforce reunion episode, that he would get his cast members together for a special "The Last Patrol" episode for the fans?

Well, he sent out a tweet the other day using the hashtag #TheLastPatrol saying he'd need at least 250 people to donate $20 to make this happen, and asked people to RT if interested.

He only got 25 retweets, and has since stated that due to lack of interest, he doubts starting a Kickstarter. He also went on to tweet that he only received about 15 story submissions for the episode.

So this idea looks dead in the water. Otherwise, go show some support @MattyAustin on Twitter. It's the only way you'll get an SPD reunion.

Hell I follow him and didnt even see it. Strange. I cant donate money at the moment, but Id love to see this happen. How the heck can we get this to happen?

I think we just have to hit him with overwhelming support.

Just posted something on Twitter. If you see it, RT it. This is one of those "the fandom dictates if they want to see something happen" moments, and way too often things slip by without people caring.

Just think about it, we have a site full of Toku/American Toku fans. Do you think our numbers will matter? To me, I think we do. Maybe not a large number but if we were to get Ranger Crew and other communities to help, this may become a reality. I for one want to support this.

Well then I guess Ill have to start pluggin on twitter some more.

I'm down to support this too - Power Ranger fans love it when former cast members have support/love for what they did, and the cast wanted to do this, we just need to show the support that we want it to happen.

Check @TokuNation for the tweet, give it a RT, and get as many people on board as you can if you want this to happen. Can't give Matt any money until he starts a Kickstarter or another fundraiser, so vocal support will have to do!

I'm down with this. It's funny since I'm rewatching SPD right now.

Here's hoping this goes through. SPD wasn't a bad season, and I wouldn't mind seeing them again.
