Super Megaforce Retrofire Legendary Megazord Gallery
22 Attachment(s)
The wave of Super Megaforce galleries continues with a look at the 'Retrofire' Legendary Megazord from the Power Rangers Super Megaforce toyline.
The Legendary Megazord stands at approximately 5.5 inches tall and has 20 points of articulation including 4 in each arm, 5 in each leg, a waist that rotates 360ยบ, and the head is on a balljoint. This Megazord continues the trend of full, symmetrical articulation that started with the Megaforce Retrofire figures. There's a lot of finely sculpted details all over the figure, although most of them aren't painted (surprising, I know). I was rather surprised by the intricacy and the amount of work that was put into the back of the figure and the shoulder pieces. Packaged with the Legendary Megazord are it's two sabers that can be held in either hand or pegged into the waist skirts. Unlike the 'DX' Legendary Megazord, the Retrofire's sabers have a fair amount of detail and the blades are correctly painted silver. Unlike some of the previous Retrofire releases, the Legendary Megazord has fairly good proportions. Like the other releases though, it does have angling to the base of the feet that gives it an awkward 'spread-legged' stance in some positions. While Retrofire's are not known for their detailed paint applications, the Legendary Megazord has curiously had the majority of the lower legs' paint scheme changed. The 'Submarine' and 'Hauler' portions of the legs are molded black plastic with some minor gold, yellow, and pink detailing. Although it would be more accurate to have had the white of the submarine and the yellow of the hauler more pronounced/existent, the solid black does lend to a more cohesive color scheme overall. Overall, the Retrofire Legendary Megazord is not a bad figure for its regular retail price. Hyper-Stylization and proportions aside, the figure has a more than respectable amount of articulation and two 'very-cool' sabers that lend to display worthy poses. If you can forgive the missing paint details (or know how to paint), then this is one Retrofire that's a solid buy. |
Dear Gosei that looks amazing. Subtle changes to the design, I love the long swords, it just looks pahfekt. Just wish they would've molded Yellow's truck a little better for the foot so it matched Pinks.

I'm just going to consider the black legs to be leather boots. :lol

It looks good. If I didn't have SRC Gokai-Oh, I'd be getting this. Here's hoping for Q-Rex (or whatever the final name is) in this line.

Looks nice, should fit in well with my SRC shelf sine I don't have the Gokai-Oh.
