Need some advice regarding prop purchase, plz!
I trust you guys and gals so before I drop some bill I wanted to show everyone what I'm plannin' to buy.
http://bit.ly/My7w33 I wanna get a replica of the MMPR Power Sword, but I ofcourse wanna hear what you guys and gals think. In the past, some of you have really aimed me at the right direction regarding Toku related stuff and helped me make up my mind if I was ever on the fence. I'm not signed up on Rangerboard where I've heard some people get props made for them and always thought I should give it a look, so I'm not sure if you guys and gals knew of someone to recommend from past experiences, or even other sellers on DeviantArt/eBay and such who've done a good job on something personally ordered. I don't want it for Cosplay purposes or anything, just to adorn my wall and go well with my Sentai/PR display that's in my house. So, whachya think? Who cares? Go for it? I know where else you can get it one made? Bananas make bad shoes? |
If the price is right and you really want it, then go for it.
Just be mindful that you tell people that this isn't meant to be a toy. I have family that displays weapons in the house and they take precautions to make sure no one gets hurt. When you get it look into a glass case that you can store it in. Hope this helps! |
It's really up to you man, I know there was a guy in UK who made a few and they look fantastic. I've always said that if Bandai made official stuff (Like the Legacy Dragon Dagger) I'd be all over it, and I stand by that :)

If you REALLY want to go all out (and live in Southern California), and have metal, and leather and stuff, you COULD go to The Sword and Stone in Burbank. Though, I would imagine this stuff would run you $1000+
Some stuff they've made: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ySQratOnwk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nm4Ck6bD2_0 |
I saw one of these when i was at a Meet and Greet with JDF at Wizard World Chicago. The quality was fantastic.
