I just bought a second Mobirates and a bunch of keys... Was it worth it?
 

Heya, guys, first-time poster. Looking forward to getting to know you all.

Anyways, I had already purchased my first Mobirates on eBay, but today I found out it was a Bandai Asia version (Original Mobirates body with Legend Mobirates sounds), so I asked the seller not to send it and to let me return it.

I still don't know if it's in the mail or not, (it probably is) but that's not the reason I made this thread. I was poking around eBay today and found this one. After doing a little bit of research, I was pretty sure this was a ridiculously good deal, so I snatched it. The seller said it was his kid's, and judging by the way he has the keys arranged, it really doesn't seem like he knew what he had.

This was a steal, right? I mean, the Bandai Japan Keitai is hard to find now, and all of the Battle Fever J Rangers are here (Edit: Except for Battle Kenya. Derp.), in seemingly decent condition. I feel good about the purchase, but can someone give me some affirmation, please?

I'd say so. I'm not really hyper-knowledged on Sentai merch, but the shear volume there combined with the fact that Mobirates is a pretty popular item and ut of production makes me think that's very fair, if not good deal in your favour. Like, there's 60 keys there. Even if each key was worth a dollar, that's $63 for Mobirates alone, which seems fair. And I bet some of those keys are worth more than a dollar.


I'm sure someone well-versed in Gokaiger could give more detail, but purely from a toy collector that knows comparable merch, I can only say this was a nice buy.

I don't normally buy used toys, but I think the sheer amount of keys justifies the price. I paid over $100 for my new Mobirates with just the default 3 keys many years ago so...

But in the end, you decide the value.

Miss America is one of if not the most valuable Ranger Key, being a chase figure in a Gashapon set and goes for over $100 alone. That price seems literally too good to be true.

If its real and you get it, congratulations! I'm jealous!

I just purchased it today, so it hasn't arrived yet. The description explicitly says Miss America is included, but her stickers are peeling.

I had seen that one, too, and was tempted. Collecting Ranger Keys has been a slippery slope for me that I've been strong to avoid both the BoJ and BoA ones.

I'd say it's a great deal due to the amount of keys. Bonus points if there is any packaging included.
