Why was the Transtek Armor rereleased/remade for samurai?
 

I've been trying to figure it out and can't fathom it in the slightest.

Cost.

BOA made a toy that could be easily reused to pad out an assortment in Samurai. That's about it. It's hardly different from the original release so it was very cheap to produce and pack into that line.

Wasn't it Zord Builder thougH?

The OO zords happen to be zordbuilder fowards compatible. After all, zordbuilder ports are just octagonal pegs of a common diameter.
