Rider naming scheme?
Has anyone else noticed that a lot of Riders have real names where their first name ends in an "oh" sound and the last name ends in an "e" sound or vice versa?
Takeshi Hongo Hayato Ichimoji Shiro Kazame Yuriko Masaki (yes she counts) Kotaro Minami Shiro Mizuki Shinji Kido Masashi Sudo Mutsuki Kamijo Souji Tendou Tsurugi Kamishiro Ryotaro Nogami Kotaro Nogami Shotaro Hidari Daiki Kaito Eiji Hino Gentarou Kisaragi That's 17 riders with this little trait in common. Is this a coincidence or is it a deliberate homage to the man who created Kamen Rider: Shotaro Ishinomori? Or am I going crazy? |
pretty sure it's just because Japanese is such a vowel-centric language and there are only 5 Vowel sounds.
