Another great episode, this show just keeps getting more interesting and doesn't seem to be showing any signs of stopping. I wasn't expecting to like Cho ToQOh all that much, but the suit looks great and it came off well as a real powerhouse. I think what I'm looking forward to most though is where Grita and Zed's relationship is going to go from here. |
Just watched the raw. I think we need to start an 'I Love Zed' fanclub. Bro's got style.

Kagura, a model? Lmao.
Although it was pretty character driven like most of the character focus in this show, it is never done in a meaningful way and swiftly takes a back seat for action. This is a shame, as all of the characters have the potential to be really interesting, but it never does anything constructive with the characters that they can really build on. Thankfully Lamp Shadow is one of the best Shadows we've had in a while and the action was as good as ever but I dunno, this weeks Gaim did the rare thing of actually having good action. And since this has none of Gaim's narrative strength, usually the only reason to come to this is to get your action fix, but I didn't get that this time. And since I have GARO Flowers to watch as well, meh. Maybe I'll take a break from this let some episodes pile up and see how people are on the series by that point. At this point in the series I don't feel like I'd be missing out on much if I stopped watching for a few months. |
Loved the Episode. Zed continues to be a bad ass and I absolutely loved how he reacted upon seeing Grita. This also marks the first Episode in this show were I actually cared about Gritas existence :lol Seeing her standing there with the little knife ready to kill Zed was unexpected to say the least.
Really curious how this story is going to develop especially in regards to Schwarz Shogun. When I first saw Right talking with Lamp Shadow I completely lost it. Just the way Right sat there cracked me the hell up :lol It was nice to get more inside as to what was up with the Passes they had as children. Now I´m even more curious why Right had his with him in the first Episode. Action was pretty solid and I liked how they first formed Chou ToQ-Oh. Stuff like that always gives me Shinkenger flashbacks :lol So yeah really cool episode and I´m looking forward to the next one. |
Right now, Zed is up there with Enter and Basco as some of the best villains that we've seen out of the last five or so seasons.

Down as I was today, I can't deny this episode brought a great big smile to my face. Definitely the best one yet!

Now I like ToQger but parts of this episode felt weird, and sort of out of place.
The Cho-ToQ-oh, I don't know, but I feel like they could of made it proportioned better, like maybe make the other parts look skinnier like how they did with the diesel parts. Seeing the rules of the pass was nice, but I think f it led them to like the general location of their town, or whatever would of been nice. Now I feel like they could of played on this for a while and just have 6 show up to bring back their memories but oh well. Now I'd really like ToQ-Oh to get some depth to his suit, not just trains side by side. 3/5 |
I let this show some time to decide if I'll watch it completely, and I think I will. IMHO, it's an average show but strangely enjoyable.
And still I can't explain why... I mean mechas are weird, most plots are childish, characters uninteresting, having "Imagination" as a quantifiable energy is BS, and fight choregraphy is poor. But overall I like it, must be because Imagination over 9000 I guess. |
