JDF posted on his Instagram that he will be appearing at SDCC 2014 in a partnership with Saban Brands (Power Rangers owners) and Lionsgate (studio in charge of the MMPR Reboot movie).

Thoughts?

Oh I have thoughts, just none of them are good. But you can't really be surprised at this. He's their cashcow, of course their going to parade him out there.

I think we should wait and see what happens. If a majority of us don't like the result, we shall have a JDF witch hunt. :lol

I really hope he's just there to promote the last episode of Super Megaforce.

well I thought I was going to be in the minority until i read the replies. Don't get me wrong I love JDF and what he has done for Power Rangers, but I feel that any involvement with the film out side of promotion will ruin any chance it has of being a true reboot. I'm going to hold my judgment until some more info from the panel come out.

Hopefully there's not much to this and there's no connection that involves JDF with the film.

If it does though then nothing could kill my hype faster then JDF being in it.

I hope he's in the new movie. It'd make it even MORE awesome when I go see it!

Tommy rocks. I hope he is in the movie. I hope he becomes a Dino Charge Ranger. Tommy is the best Ranger of all time and all ways will be.

As long as he doesn't have a starring or acting role in the film, I could care less. Even then I'd much appreciate him staying far away from any sort of reboot of the series if they plan on rebooting MMPR. He's an actor who while I can appreciate what he's done for the franchise, I have no wish to ever see again in any new productions.

They should just give him his own solo movie while they're working on the reboot so they don't have to get super pestered about changing shit in the reboot.
