Which riders from every series has the best/worst fighting style?

Fourze: Meteor, Bruce Lee style
Wizard: Good acrobatics and flexibility
OOO: Good style

Ryuki: Not learning how to fight well
Den-O Sword, Rod & Axe: Pathetic fighting style
Fourze: Over his head on how to fight

I personally don't think not being able to fight WELL has nothing to do with the quality of the rider. These suit actors are obviously talented, so if the character they're portraying beneath the suit isn't a good fighter, the reason for the lack of style or know-how isn't because of bad direction. It's instead the other way around. I think it's surprisingly hard for an actually skilled person to act believably unskilled.

Because of that, when a rider doesn't know what they're doing I think the action can actually be better. It connects me to the character more and makes the situations more believable. Shinji is just an everyday shmuck with no training who happens to come across his power, Gentaro is a highschooler with a similar lack of experience so it only makes sense he'd be over his head, and the learning curve for Kouta in the first few episodes of Gaim was brilliant.

BUT. I realize that's not really the question asked, and can agree with your list in most cases.

I personally find the fighting choreography for Fourze to be well executed. He's not a fighter and the overall atmosphere of the show is show that he is able to run into the face of danger without knowing how to properly fight and to show that he's willing to protect things whether he isn't fit for fighting. That's what made him become the user of the Fourze Driver.


I'd argue the best fighting style for me currently is straight up Zangetsu. Quick, effective, strong, little to no openings.

The fighting style I despised the most is Kuuga's. It was basic (Mighty, Titan, Dragon). That isn't to say it's a bad show or has bad choreography. It's just, the show is dated and the shaky fast camera is to blame.

Kabuto: His fighting style has this sense of efficiency oozing out. If you attack him he will snap back with one quick strike and occasionally do a few rapid combos.

Gatack: Pro-Wrestling, duel-wield, and street fighting. Compared to Kabuto he lacks finesse but makes it up for it with weapons and brute force which works well for him.

Faiz: Street fighting. His style is very rough and that wrist pop is what completes it.

Fourze: Very reminiscent of the banchos from delinquent manga and movies from Japan. It suits Gentaro well.

Joker: I like how it maintains that finesse W has but adds more of Shotaro's personality to it. Also the hint of Showa riders completes it.

Kuuga: Being Heisei no.1 there are still unwashed bits of Showa that help people used to the action of Showa Riders transition to what follows after.
