final form with a cost
 

hey guys this is my first thread here which i decided to post now that i've finished every show from den-o to wizard idecided to ask you all this:

which final form do you think should have come with a price and if it didnt why do you think it didn't(meaning you can post your theoreis about this over here)?

Welcome aboard, first off.

Secondly, Wizard's did have a cost. He couldn't have achieved it without first being sliced open by Legion and losing Dragon. Fourze, Gentaro needed to die before achieving Cosmic. Kiva needed to almost lose Mio before his emotions awoke Tantsulot and gave him Emperor. Kouta though was just all-but given Fruit Basket. I don't know why though. With everything else in Gaim, you'd think they would've written in some sort of heavy price for using it. Can't understand why they didn't. But I think a Final Form should come with a price.

Isn't the heavy price for Kiwami Arms is the overuse of it? I mean if Kouta overuses it, he'll become an Overlord. He already lost his taste, calling curry bland. Let's not forget that Eiji was given his final form, he didn't do anything to deserve it, he was already winning in his combo set and they just resided in him and ejected the other medals he was using, causing him to mostly use only Putotyra for the remainder of the show which caused him to turn into a Greeed. Likewise for Kenzaki in Blade. Also for Kabuto.. Tendou didn't really earn the Hyper Zecter, he just received it. Though, AU Kabuto worked hard to get the Hyper Zecter and successfully made a better Earth.

I think you're confusing Kouta for Eiji, Crt. Eiji wasn't given PuTuTyra. It was all but forced on him, inside of him, and he paid a heavy cost. It slowly turned him into a Greeed. He lost his taste, he couldn't see color, and then changed completely. Kouta was just told the only way to stop Helheim was to become an Overlord.

Personally, I think a Rider's final form should come with some kind of cost for using it, ideally the higher the better. I like that Kuuga was afraid to use Ultimate Form because it might totally overwrite his personality. I like that Blade couldn't overuse King form because it would turn him into an Undead. I even liked seeing Wizard run out of energy because Infinity form guzzles his mana really quickly. The drawback or danger in the form makes it more dangerous to use, which means the Rider has to keep it in reserve for only the most dire of circumstances and, when it is used, we know that this is a moment when the gloves have to come off. Otherwise you just get something like Emperor Kiva, where the base forms just get dropped and half the series is just the final form. Overuse really robs a final form of its power and grandeur.

Right, well in a sense, he was given the Purple Medals by the Purple Medals themselves. :lol I was just trying to convey that Final Forms are usually hard to achieve or they receive their Final Forms through ease, but has side effects.

The only one I can think on the top of my head is Eiji (Purple Medals came to him, I think Maki offered to take them back late in the show), Meteor, and Gaim.

hmm...and Decade lost all sense of style with that damn card smacked on his forehead...

This is kinda why I like Zeronos, every time Yuuto had a henshin he had to pay a heavy cost of some one losing his memories of him, it even became worse when he had to Henshin into Zero Form since the memories had to be fully forgotten from Airi.

A lot of those aren't really costs, though. They may have been initiated through a heavy event, but their free use afterwards means that it wasn't truly necessary.
Kiva awakened Tatsulot and Emperor through almost losing someone, but freely uses it because there is no price. Same for Fourze and W.
Infinity puts a massive strain on Wizard, Kiwami is altering Kouta's tastes to that of an Invess, King Form can transform it's user into an Undead if overused, etc etc. Those are actual costs.

If you want pay off Blade King Form is where its at.
