Does everyone remember Captain Planet?

If it was brought back, what do you think if the show had a sixth planeteer?

Kwame from Africa - Earth (earth, metals, crystals, sand, wood & plants)
Wheeler from North America - Fire
Linka from Europe - Wind (tornadoes)
Gi from Asia - Water (tidal waves & ice)
Ma-Ti from South America - Heart

Sixth Planeteer from Australia - Lightning (light, thunder & storms)

With the sixth ring, not only does it summon Captain Planet as the other five do, but also to give C.P. an upgrade. It can also charge the other planeteers their powers and can use them help the people and the environment only once and must learn to save them with their own hands too.

Anyways, how would you see the series be brought back in this century? Cause all the problems people are going through right now, they need to see the error of their ways and give out good messages like before in the 90s.

Well, we did get that live action adaptation starring Don Cheadle, Brenda Song, and Efren Ramirez a while back.

There was a live action Captain Planet? Good lord...

I think a self-aware revamping would be nice.

I just came up with a weird idea: Captain Planet Ranger Keys.

I don't know wether to burn you at the stake for blasphemy or give you full access to an extraterrestrial brothel full of alien hookers and space cocaine for best fucking idea ever.

Since Thundercats in 2011, wonder how you see Captain Planet being brought back?

That includes having them add a sixth planeteer. Think of him as the "sixth ranger".

- Kwame: Leader of the planeteers. Earth.

- Wheeler: The fun joker. Fire.

- Linka: An expert of birds and computer expert. Wind.

- Gi: Marine biologist, mechanic and mother figure. Water.

- Ma-Ti: Youngest of the planeteers. Heart.

And...

My planeteer as the sixth...

His name is Soren. A missionary for Christ from Australia and newest member of the planeteer. He was a victim of Zarm's evil when he lost faith in things. That is until his eyes were opened. Though he gained the ring of lightning, he didn't feel ready to join the others and decides to go solo in a soul journey of redemption.

His ring of lightning is special. It gives Captain Planet a special upgrade and gives the other planeteers a temporary boost for their rings only once.

While Wheeler has a thing for Linka, Soren develops feelings for Gi. He feels for Ma-Ti, Wheeler & Kwame as his brothers. For Linka, sometimes Wheeler is jealous of Soren being around her.

Opening:

Soren: Our world is in peril! Gaia, the spirit of the Earth, can no longer stand the destruction plaguing our planet. She sends six magic rings to six special young people.

Like Kwame... from Africa, with the power of earth.

Wheeler... from North America, with the power of fire.

Linka... from Europe, with the power of wind.

Gi... from Asia, with the power of water.

From South America... Ma-Ti, with the power of heart.

AND yours truly... Soren from Australia, with the power of lightning.

With all six powers combined... we summon Earth's greatest champion, Captain Planet!

Planeteers: Go Planet!
