SH Figuarts Kamen Rider V1/V2- The First Ver VS The Next Ver- Differences?
 

Hey guys, I'm a big fan of the Kamen Rider reboot in Kamen Rider The First/The Next. As such I was wondering, what's the difference between the Figuarts figures for Kamen Rider V1/V2(The First Version) VS Kamen Rider V2(The Next Version)? Is it just the paint? As for movies, I prefer The Next over The First however I was wondering which had the better figures. Thanks!

The original releases (which were, by the way, the very first Figuarts ever) had the colors from The Next, which meant that Rider 1 was in his dark green Sakurajima colors. The rerelease had him in his colors from The First, with the metallic light blue and pink eyes. As I recall, Rider 2's colors were pretty much the same between the first and rerelease, but both Riders had resculpted heads to remove the battle damage cracks that were part of the Next sculpts. Structurally, both releases are identical.

Okay, keep in mind here that the newest Figuart I own is Knight, but no, they don't feel outdated in any way. They're every bit as solid and articulated as any other Figuart from the die-cast foot era. The proportions are a little skinny, like OG Kabuto, but mechanically the only thing about them that's really unusual is the existence of a boot cut joint.
