Non-Toku: The Coeurgardes

This is an OC story I've been working on for months now. It came about one day when I joked with algo448 about my coffee obsession, saying wouldn’t it be cool to have a coffee and tea magical girl.

We were watching Heartcatch Precure at that time, and I jokingly mentioned that we should have a “Cure Latte” and “Cure Tea”. And thus, the idea for this series was born.

What initially started as a Precure fanfiction evolved into something that was more original, because I wanted to create a universe with its own rules separate from Precure. I hope you guys enjoy it!

Just a simple summary of the story:

The COEURGARDES are guardians of hope! Brave heroes chosen throughout the world to battle against the Nihil, the ever-present darkness that preys on fear and evil intentions. To aid them in their battle, the Coeurgardes are given the power to become superheroes of their own design, based on any theme they desire.

The main heroines are Garde Espresso and Garde Tea. First up is Garde Espresso:

Of all the things she could have gone with, Nadia chose coffee as the base of her powers. She transforms using the Garde Filter, an enchanted portafilter that produces magical espresso. Her Spoon of Doom is her primary weapon, so named because she thought it was cool.

Rose chose to base her powers off tea because she loves it and she feels it complements Nadia’s coffee-based powers. She transforms using the Garde Tea Pot, which produces enchanted tea. Resilience, her weapon, was inspired by tea picks used in tea ceremonies.

As I've said before, Rose and Nadia look great! Though I must say, those henshin devices are simply stunning, much better than any of the tech I've ever drawn. Excellent work man, keep it up. :thumb:
