Yes. DS games are not region locked. Neither are PSP. 3DS is a different story, but that's not really relevant here.

I do plan on importing this game at some point in the future.

It sucks that the rest of the world gets cool games while the States are stuck with lameass Call of Duty games. I would love to play this game if given the chance. Who wouldn't want to be a super powered motocyclist?
