Ressha Sentai ToQger Episode 27 "A New Power" Discussion
 

Really good episode of ToQger. Loved how Right realized how to utilize the Hyper Ressha. New villain was alright, kind of a lackluster entrance.

But Hyper ToQ1... DAMN! That fight with Zed was so sick. Man I can't wait for the day they'll have their final battle.

Watch this episode in RAW is really a joy, but the subs really made me to like this episode ten folds! The twist in the beginning with the new villain, Akira accept to temporary goes back to his Shadow form to help the ToQGers, and Hyper ToQ1 vs Zed!
Although it's very likely that only ToQ1 will be able to use Hyper Ressha but if they can do future episodes this good then it's fine to me.

This week we meet Granny Goodness and the ToQgers fight a Dalek Chess Piece. Pretty decent episode.

...Oh, and there's some lame upgrade in there somewhere.

Hyper is alright but it's pretty weird. Not what I would have guessed given ToQger's normal suit aesthetic. And, as much as I'd like to see them all using it (maybe with the caveat that it can only be used with the red suit), I somewhat doubt that.

Cool monsters though.

I half expected Samuel L. Jackson to pop up and start screaming "Choo Choo ----------------!"

When even Conductor is indirectly making the powerup sound (HYPPPPPPPPPPPPPPEEERRRRRRRRR!!!!!), you know it's gonna be good. Thankfully, it was. The fight sequence actually gave me chills. Now I must go play SFA2T. Hyper Combo Finisher!

Someone made the snarky suggestion that Zed is Right's brother or relative. You know, I wouldn't put it past this series.

Another awful conclusion: You can't spell Grita without Rita. So that gives us Rita and Zed. And that makes Akira the new Alpha. Bazinga.

I really don't like Hyper ToQGer.

It doesn't really do a whole lot to change the base suit except slap a gold train over their shoulders. Not to mention that watching the shoulder pads flop all over the place is pretty disrracting, a lot like the big shoulder pads in Gaim tend to be.

My biggest complaint is the armor looks nothing like the Hyper Ressha used to create it. I mean he scans the Resshas, it flies off, then grows bigger, into an entirely different looking train. Then becomes armor.

The sad part is how the Hyper Ressha itself looks coolr than the actual armor.
