Saban never will shoot again in usa ?

It's cheaper to shoot in New Zealand than it is in the US. I don't see it coming back to the US any time soon.

What was the reasoning to shoot in New Zealand? I had always thought it was a Disney Era only thing at the time.

I remember one of the producers for Power Rangers at the time told Disney to keep the franchise going and start shooting in New Zealand due to it being cheaper. Wild Force was set to be the final season, but the show did well enough in toy sales to keep it going.

Maybe when he has budget.

The budget isn't the problem. It's just easier and cheaper to shoot in New Zealand as the currency rate is different. That's all. Why spend most of your budget getting film rights in Los Angeles when you can keep your budget but spend less on film rights in New Zealand? That leaves more room for things like special effects, filming on location, hiring of New Zealand actors (as that's cheaper in NZ than the US as well), etc.

But what if they shoot in california or Vancouver ?

New Zealand is currently cheaper than California (otherwise Saban would go back to shooting there) but I'm not sure about where Canadian filming costs would fin into this.

Though if I'm correct, the Canadian-American exchange rate isnt that different.

California, I believe, is one of the most expensive places to film in the US. A lot of companies film shows in Canada so that might be cheaper. But, NZ is still the cheapest.

Not sure about South Africa though, as I'm convinced they'll shoot the reboot film there.

Out sourcing jobs is cheaper. That's why the economy sucks.
