That was a pretty good episode. I do wish they'd explain why Riley went from fencing to underhanded, but eh, footage and rolling with it and etc etc.

They made a bunch of puns again but at least they weren't grating like in Super MegaFarce.

This episode had some pro's and con's and it caused me to vote "Good" as opposed to "Excellent".

PRO'S!
- Koda once again steals every scene he is in
- Use of the theme song during the morph
- A full screen morph for Chase, our first of the series
- Great overall characterization for Chase and Riley and their relationship

CON'S
- The search for the Gold Energem begins .... and it all came to be off screen. Massive potential lost for the upcoming story arch by shoe-horning it in with a quick "this is what we're going to do the next 3 episodes" bit
- Not 100% sure ... but it looks like they refilmed Sentai cockpit footage of Green and Black "budding" arms in a good job way. Why go the extra effort to refilm the exact same scene?
- Theme song isn't being used in any of the fights anymore which is disappointing and makes the Megazord battle feel rushed/unimportant
- 5th year under Saban ... can we please get a different background music? I heard fight music from Samurai playing in this episode and it bugged me

Have you seen the Kyoryuger's cockpit? It has the team name and mecha name all over the place. Just like every instances of a Charger being focused on, it needed to be replaced.

At least they're making more of an effort to make these elements of Kyoryuger into a watchable Power Rangers show. That is more than can be said for (Super) Megaforce.

I've not seen Kyoryuger, but I am really enjoying Dino Charge, and it feels great to be able to say that about Power Rangers again. It's amazing how much the extra effort put in, is producing fantastic results. Whatever changes were made with this, they've all been for the better. Makes me wish Judd "Chip" Lynn was around when they were adapting Gokaiger.

As for the episode itself, I did laugh when the rangers were doing their roll call, and chase just couldn't do it because of the toothache, but the rest of the team kept going. It's fairly stock stuff - two rangers with differing attitudes come into conflict, but end up resolving it when each comes round to the other's way of thinking - but it was done really well.

Hmm... is it too early in the season to start shipping Rangers? Because if not, I'm totally seeing Riley and Chase (Race?) as a thing.

But yeah, this was another great episode. I'm a little concerned about our villains, though. Usually something like "give heroes toothaches so they can't fight well" should be much, much lower on the list of world domination plans. If this is Plan E, I am truly scared to see what Plan Z is.

Sweet episode. Chase and Riley bonding, and Koda bein even more awesome.
