Godzilla (PS3/PS4)
 

I didn't see a thread about this anywhere else but is anyone else excited for this game? It comes out next week, July 14th. Tons of monsters, a "story" mode, a diorama mode, online multiplayer (up to 3 players), and a lot more. I'm usually against preordering but if you preorder at Gamestop you get a Hollywood Godzilla skin (his design in the most recent movie) and a grainy film filter you can overlay to make it look like the older movies.

I'm pumped as all hell :D

I really want to play this...maybe I'll rent it for now and pick it up later, since I can't justify dropping $60 on a fighting game.

The grainy filter does sound awesome. I do love me some Showa goodness.

So I ended up renting this game. While it was fun in its own right, it was pretty disappointing. For starters - what kind of fighting game doesn't have local multiplayer? Secondly, it's far to repetitive. Everything felt like I was doing the same thing over and over. I don't regret playing it though, and may even play it again sometime...but only if I can do so without spending more money.

One of the worst video games I have ever played.

I wouldn't go that far. It wasn't great, but what it IS is decently fun.

I might get it once it's $20. $60 is too much for a upscale PS3 game.

I was bored out of my mind. It was the same thing over and over again and Godzilla moves so sluggishly. I'm happy I played it at a friend's house rather than buying it.

Like I said, it wasn't great. But honestly...I had fun just controlling Godzilla, destroying cities, and fighting monsters. It was nice being able to switch it up and play as the other monsters too, but yes...it is indeed very repetitive

I didn't. I just couldn't get used to the shoulder buttons to turn him.
