Legacy Thunder Megazord.. Buying It?
Just a curiosity experiment. Seeing who here is willing to lay, or has laid already, 200 dollars down for the Legacy Megazord.
|
I would totally buy it if they weren't clearly pushing to see how much they can get away with charging.

The heavy use of Diecast puts me off to.
I'm all fine with it, but Diecast needs to be sparingly used the bigger your figure gets. G1 Optimus is lots of metal but he's pretty small. Now scale him up to the size of, say, ROTF Leader Prime and the metal goes from neat to shit. |
DairenOh/Thunder Megazord is one of my favorite robos of all time, and I would love to own it. But Bandai asking $200 makes me not even want it. I forget who said it, but I believe I member here said that for the same price point you could probably track down the original DairenOh release and get it for that much, maybe a little more.
If this came down to $150 I'd probably consider it a bit more. But at $200 I have no plans to purchase it. |

I own the orginal MMPR stickered one and it my original I had as a kid I would get this but I moving in with my gf and want have the funds to get a $200 toy it be cheaper yes importing but the customers on this thing would be huge to the point I pay the same price regardless

No way is it worth it. $200 is, like, Takara Devastator, or well into a SOC, or... anything that's more in-depth than this thing.

THUNDER MEGAZORD:
-$200 -5-piece combo -Total of 3 configurations (Red Dragon Warrior, Assault Team, Thunder Megazord) -Die cast metal (included for collectors who want quality items) -Requires heavy shipping fee due to my location -Collector's item, definitely not as good as Ninninger -Episodes of MMPR2/Dairanger watched: 0 (22 min.) BIKLONZ INFINITY: -$70 -5-piece combo -Total of 6 official configurations (Hurricane, Aero, Ghost, Eclipse, Ursa [Robot Mode], Infinity) -Sounds (included because Tobot [both Tobot and Biklonz are by Young Toys] lost to Kyoryuger in 2014, and Kyoryuger had tons of sound gimmicks) -Free shipping thanks to my location -Meant for play, still not as good as Ninninger but has more playability than TM -Episodes of Biklonz watched: 66 (7 min.) ...yeah, no. |
I might not be able to at the time of release but i'd still rather give my money to this than a Falconzord or any other item highlighting BoA's relentless Tommy-worship.
